It was now the afternoon class, and both Velocity and Leslie are sleepy. It was their first period in the afternoon, but the teacher's slow and monotonous voice seems to slowly put them to sleep. In fact, Velocity roams her eyes around the classroom, and it was no just the two girls who are falling asleep. Half of the class is either fighting sleep or being attentive.
Leslie groaned, her face hidden on top of her desk with her arms surrounding her head. Velocity can feel the boredom and sleepiness in Leslie's voice. Velocity sighed in agreement, sounding way more content than she should be.
Ethan looks at Velocity incredulously. Velocity didn't care but lift a middle finger at the long-haired boy. Ethan stuck his tongue out in answer.
After their morning class, Leslie and Ethan followed her without her permission and sat at her table. Some students turned their eyes at the trio, but their attention was stolen when Section A students also entered the cafeteria. The students can almost see them shining, especially their class representative, Lillian Herbert. The reigning Ranked 1st in the honor students. Unfortunately, the trio and Section-F are the only ones who don't give a damn.
It would seem that Leslie was also popular in this school. Velocity has no idea in what department she's famous for. She just hopes it doesn't give the stage light into them, to Velocity specifically.
And right now, after the Section-B battles drowsiness, it's time for PE, and Velocity is dreading it already. She doesn't like the idea of being all sweaty and sticky for an hour. She doesn't like how she will exert energy in this subject. Velocity just wanted to sleep in a corner.
Unfortunately, before Velocity could even walk away, already in their PE uniform, Leslie and Ethan dragged her back to the group. "You are not escaping this. You shall suffer with us." Leslie stated with a serious look as if they would be entering a bloody battle. Ethan was the same, nodding his head in agreement which Velocity thinks was just to get revenge from the morning events.
"We get sweaty, you get sweaty, and that is the bro code. Whatever the other suffers from, the others should help or suffer with them too." Ethan said proudly while hitting his chest in effect.
Leslie and Velocity only looked at Ethan incredulously. "Ew. Don't do that again." Leslie deadpanned with an emotionless expression that Velocity nodded in agreement. To others, Ethan might have looked like a knight defending their honor, but to the two girls, he looked like a gorilla. A good-looking gorilla, but a gorilla nonetheless.
When they finally are with the other students, the teacher was telling their section to run around the track. Velocity took a glance at her slender legs then to Leslie's shorter ones and to Ethan's muscled leg. Leslie caught her eyes and glared at her. "Even if I'm the shortest among the two of you, I can run faster!"
Velocity smirked. "Leslie, did you just called yourself short? Why I thought you hated being called like that." Velocity was listening at lunch that apparently, the short-haired girl doesn't like being called shorty or anything that says about her height. Velocity thinks that's because of what Leslie said at lunch, during her introduction to her - She has 4 siblings and all of her big sisters and brothers are gifted in the height department. Maybe the girl was teased by her siblings or that she just doesn't like being reminded of the fact she's the only shorty in the family.
"My... Is the heat getting you, Leslie? I think I saw a shade not far from here. I think you should sit this one out while me and blonde ace this." Ethan said teasingly, which made Leslie growl at him.
Both Ethan and Velocity stopped. The two stared at their friend who punched Ethan on the arm. It didn't stop the thought that runs to Velocity's mind, and apparently Ethan too.
"You lunatic! I can run like you guys! Are you underestimating me, Villa?" she hissed threateningly.
Leslie's growl was more of a purr! It was so cute that it sounded like a kitten's playful growl!
Velocity's eyes sparkled as a thought entered her mind. A new task she aims to do - Make Leslie angry from time to time.
"You have a cute growl."
"Shut up blondie! Wanna be punched next?!"

They're all lined up at the starting point. Their PE teacher walks in front of them and Velocity only stared ahead, her mind going somewhere else. She'd rather be at that tree with a nice shade and doze off. Her back was starting to sweat and she fished out a hair tie from her pocket. The action was not unnoticed as boys and girls turned their heads to the blonde. It was a scene like that of in movies and they were in a daze.
Velocity was confused at hef classmates' looks and turned to Leslie who was beside her. She scrunched up her nose when she sees that Leslie was staring at her in awe and admiration. She just shrugged it off as something her friends do.
"You have to run around the track. If you finish one lap, you will get a C plus! It's not high but it's a passing score. You get to finish 2 laps, you get a B, you finish 3 laps and an A will be given." their teacher grabbed the whistle around her neck. "Ready? Go!"
Leslie and Ethan were leading the run. Determination on their faces to finish the 3 laps as their competitive nature resurfaces and the two were glaring at each other. The others in her class were also determined to get a B, they pushed their legs to ran as the best they under the sun.
Everyone ran, except Velocity.
The teacher noticed and walk with a confused expression towards the aloof blonde. Velocity only sighed in dismay when the teacher was in front of her.
"Why aren't you running? You'll fail if you don't finish at least one lap. One lap means a barely passing score in Juleston standards, did you know that?" the teacher thought that perhaps this transferee didn't know that and was hoping to get just a C.
Velocity shrugged. She was just waiting to feel the feeling of doing it, but it's harder than she thought. Here she is just waiting for that feeling. "I'm looking for Will," she answered, still looking ahead as he sees that the others are almost halfway from the track.
Cheryll was even more confused. What the hell is this kid spouting? If she doesn't run, this will damage her grades in the future as it's a performance. Performance is graded higher than written works in PE. Hoping to help the kid, she asked, "Who the hell is Will?"
Velocity was starting to feel the tingled from her arms. The feeling slowly spreading from her fingertips and toes. She cracked up her head to the right and looked at her PE teacher then cracked her neck to the left. "Just finding the Will to run," she said indifferently.
The teacher looked at her incredulously. "Eh?"
Velocity cracked her knuckles one by one and glanced at her PE teacher. So a C is still seen as a failure in the school standards. This thought really crushed her hope of getting a C in all subjects. It seems that B and A is the only option, but that will end her up being thrown to Section A. She's smart ye, but laziness she'll choose first than be with those study maniac. "Is A good then?" she asked.
The teacher looked at Velocity with an unbelievable looked. The tracked field is huge! It was that their curriculum is messed up, making children run around this large track field. Velocity took this as an okay sign and readied her position.
With a count of three, she was gone in seconds from the starting point.
Cheryll's jaw feels as if it fell to the floor. The girl was fast! So fast that she's gaining way faster than the others are! What the hell was the kid standing here around for? The teacher can't believe it and was annoyed. "Finding Will my ass!"
