"Mother, you'll come to see me soon right?" The frightened boy asks his bedridden mother who was being hovered over by doctors and nurses.
With a sad smile, the lady's once bright blue eyes were dull with tears streaming down her cheeks.
"Mama will always be with you Kimmy.. Always. Now, go with Mr.Falles, he'll take good care of you..'' One last look at each other, the boy was being led into a fancy carriage as the doctors who were tending to his mother gave him a pitiful look. The carriage took off quickly as soon as the boy and the old man named Falles accompanying him got in.
The view of his once home that was a small cottage near the woods, was soon blurred from sight, the farther they rode away.
Back to the present, the boy had turned into an outstanding young man but for him right now, it was a quiet night.. an eerie evening for him, Kimberly Cox. His footsteps light as he held a lamp on his left hand, the only sound are the loud chirping of the crickets under the bright crescent moon. Walking naturally as he focused on his goal to reach his favorite room in the manor.
Upon a small creaking sound of the old rusty door, it revealed a fairly big library filled with various books of old. As a late night habit of Kim, he would spend hours reading books to entertain himself. Light blue orbs scanned the shelf as he soon picked out a book that was favorable to his eyes, plucking out a red hard-covered novel. Gently flicking on the lamp, a squeaking sound from the old chair was heard as Kim plopped himself on it to begin reading the book of his interest.
A small smile was etched on his once blank face as he read the piece of literature in peace and satisfaction, enjoying the dandy old book. And soon enough, he fell asleep in the middle of his reading session, the glowing moonlight illuminating the young man's charming face. A peaceful night it was for the young lord, as he barely had any rest with the government and the foul cases of his country.
