I suppose they have read books, seen series, movies, music videos and even commercials where there is a nerdy, introverted, weird or shy girl, she is almost always brown, with glasses, books against her chest and that she dresses baggy, that she likes the cutest boy in school, the popular one, the sexy one, the captain of the football team, blue eyes and muscles; that this one has a plastic girlfriend, blonde, with breasts, captain of the cheerleaders, hollow, rich, with pink skirts, etc.
But nobody cares about the supposedly plastic bride. I know that in these stories the popular girlfriend is mostly bad with the nerd, from the point of the nerd. Have you ever thought that maybe we see her bad because her antagonist narrates her?
In the end the popular boy realizes that he was always in love with the nerd and they end up together after leaving the plastic girlfriend and ... colorin, colorado, this story is over, they lived happily and ate partridges, aha, aha.
A girl has a perfect boyfriend whom she loves very much, and when another girl takes him away, we mostly see that she doesn't care and finds another boy. WE ALL SUFFER FROM BREAKING UP WITH SOMEONE, unless both of you have agreed to separate and be just friends so that the relationship is healthier.
Also no one tells how the boy feels with all that pressure from the two girls, basically he is a trophy for his girlfriend and the love of his life for the nerdy girl Does the boy not remember all the happy moments with the supposedly plastic girlfriend ? Why does it go from one girlfriend to another? Where was the healing time after breaking up with the blonde girlfriend? Can't you be single?

It's very stupid and too cliché, I admit.
It is so cliche that at some point we have all read something like that, although I admit that some writers have looked for their good angles and have made stories like that, works of art.
My story started a year ago, the last year of school, in the time when I was happy.
The reality is usually harsher than that.
I had Max, my boyfriend of almost three years, with whom we watched movies, walked barefoot in the kitchen while we cooked, went to school together. I had good grades in school, a group of friends whom I loved with all my being, she was a cheerleader and a nice dark blonde hair that was always deep.
My life was running smoothly at the time, I was researching universities to attend in a year, I was going to parties with my friends, and my parents had given me a car for my birthday. Everything was perfect. Everything was like something out of a story.
Until she showed up. Her name was Annie Smith, she was brown, of medium height, she wore glasses, baggy clothes, books on her chest, black shoes without heels, lip gloss like too much makeup. The typical cliche.
It wasn't entirely her fault, but she conspired to make the chips fall where she wanted them to.

That hurt a lot.
