Fayden Leywin POV:
'See if you can find any survivors Zeke.'
'Fine, but I'm coming back as soon as I'm done.'
I look towards the cause of Arthur resorting to Phase Two, only to be met by a face made of vines and red glowing eyes, "God you're ugly."
Before turning towards Arthur, "What's a S class beast doing here?"
Before Arthur could answer we were attacked again. This time by what looked like a lance?
Both of us jump backwards to evade the attack.
"Looks like we'll have to take care of tall, green and ugly first before looking for answers," I say
"Agreed" I hear him respond.
Seeing that Arthur is using his Integrate Phase it stands to reason that I do as well.
"Second Phase : Canine Divinity."
I am surrounded by a cloak of red and black mana, before its all absorbed back me. Red runes adorn my torso, my eyes turn red as my sclera turn pitch black. Red markings appear around my eyes and my hair grows longer and more spiky. The ashen brown and auburn color, now a obsidian black and demonic red.
(A/N: Markings on his eyes look like this)
Black energy explodes from my body, painting the surrounding black making me grin.
This is my territory now.
I see Arthur prepare his white fire, looking for an opening.
The beast send thousands of vines my way.
I smirk
Two can play at that game.
Thousands of black wispy vines emerge from the room and neutralize their green counterparts.
But that's not all, more shadowy chains emerge from the ground under him and keep him restricted.
Glancing towards Arthur I nod, signaling him to go ahead.
But what happened next stopped him in his tracks.
The guardian...melted?
No its vines came lose...and so did my chains.
But then instead of merging back into its original state it split into two different beasts, each 20 feet in height.
The most noticeable thing was that it no longer looked like a centaur, it was more humanoid now.
"Fuck!" Arthur hissed.
"Seems like it wanted to even the odds," I say before sighing
"I can manage one of them with Absolute Zero but you'll have to handle the other one." Arthur said.
"Yeah, I can work with that," I reply.
But can I?
My ice attribute isn't strong enough to freeze all of it.
Dammit what should I do?
A voice spoke in my head, almost like it was a whisper.
Instantly I'm alerted and look around to find the source of the voice.
Not finding one I gave up.
Back to the mass of vines.
I could do it using a crystal but will it be enough?
No time to ponder.
I take out a crystal from my bracelet intending to crush it when the voice returned, this time with more force.
Fine.
I'll do it!
Just shut the fuck up!
Crushing the gem I try as I was told by the voice, I will the energy released by me back into my body.
I fully expected to absorb it back into my body.
Maybe it will give me a power boost
It did give me a boost, just not in the way I had expected.
The energy, instead of being absorbed by me, wrapped around me forming something like armor.
But how would more armor help in killing this thing?
The shadows didn't stop coalescing, even after my whole body was covered by it. They kept merging and didn't stop until I was floating in a gigantic body made of the stuff.
It wasn't armor, it was a fucking exoskeleton made of shadows.
(A/N: Think Susano'o but with no discernible face, or armor, just a normal humanoid figure.)
Anything I do is reciprocated by the construct
Well this works too.
Holding my arm out, a sword formed in it.
Lets kill this son of a bitch!
Lunging towards it I brought my sword down in a downward strike.
Which it somehow managed to block with its lance.
But even as blocked it caused damage.
The lance started losing color, becoming black which my blade hungrily consumed.
Realizing how dangerous it is to even block it the beast jumped back.
It slammed its arms to the ground, just before more vines shot out from beneath me and tried to trap me.
Seriously?
You just saw my sword turning your lance to the dark side and eat it, and now you're trying to bind me?
Sure enough those vines were also absorbed.
Only to be replaced by new ones.
One would think it'd run out of vines by now.
How do I kill this thing?
If simply touching me can destroy his vines what would happen if I wrapped him up in the construct?
Warping behind him I grab him from behind and bite down its neck, expecting blood.
What?
Shaking my head clear of these feelings I try to will the shadow exoskeleton to 'melt and attach to the beast.
"Tomb of the Damned!" Words flow out of my mouth as I don't even have to think of a name for the move.
I watch as the entire beast is devoured and the shadows wisp away.
That is one scary power.
I see Zeke warp next to me with Arthur and Jasmine on him and Elijah Knight beside him holding onto him.
I was about to attack them as well, I felt the urge to kill, to prove my dominance.
I am overwhelmed by the feeling of dominance, feeling like I could take on anyone, even gods.
Shaking me head I deactivate Canine Divinity.
As I do the feeling of superiority, the urge to kill everything in my sight weakens enough for me to keep it under control
Are they okay?
They'll live
Can you handle the rest?
I was running on fumes, staying conscious with sheer willpower alone.
Yes, rest now.
I didn't have the time to nod as I my vision rapidly falls and I give into the cold embrace of sleep.

Authors Note:
So who exactly was that voice?
And why did he help Fayden?
Will he make an appearance again?
Only I know the answers to that MWAHAHAHAHAHA- *cough* *cough
Anyways this is it, the end of adventurer arc...or well most of it, we still have the return and court scene, so I'd say like 6 to 7 chapters max.
Until next time.
