'Did I actually hear him say that to my master?' Niao thought, her head in turmoil.
She wasn't actually paying attention to Ji Yong but her hearing was greatly enhanced since she became a bird, so she couldn't help but hear their conversation. Who would've thought she would hear Ji Yong say such a thing, making her choke suddenly.
In contrast to Niao's apparent reaction, Yuxi was silent, she looked nonchalant. But her hand holding the glass of water did stop midway.
She turned to look at him and gave him a curious gaze. After a moment, she asked, "You noticed me, looking at you?"
More than getting surprised by his words, she was giving regards to him finding out.
