Chapter 7 - Chapter 6.

"BLOODY MURDERER!"

She screamed at the top of her lungs.

"Calm down young transfer student. There is absolutely no need to yell," the boy said while dodging the article that was thrown at him -- which just happened to be one of her stilettos.

"How come you have the audacity to tell me to calm down when a weird boy is peeking on me through the freaking ceiling!" (Y/n) let out in an accusing tone.

"I humbly for the intrusion. I should've used the door," he earnestly apologized.

At this, the (h/c) haired female just scoffed. 'Now you're thinking about it. At least, he doesn't look like a pervert, but still -- what the hell is he doing crawling through the attic like that?'

"Anyways, we are throwing a party in room 205 to welcome you guys. Be there on time, okay," the boy said before disappearing behind the boards again, leaving behind a startled (Y/n), who had only one thing running inside her head.

'What the hell just happened?'

.

.

.

"I never thought that it gets this lively here?" (Y/n) nervously voiced out her thoughts as she found herself being seated in between Souma, and an unfamiliar blue-haired girl, who also appeared to be a first-year like her and Souma. 'Should I try talking to her?'

(Y/n) took a deep breath -- trying to face the blue-haired female.

"Hey, there I'm Nakamura (Y/n). Nice to meet you."

The blue-haired female gave out a frightened yelp as she turned to face (Y/n), "are you talking to me?"

To this, (Y/n) just nodded her head in response.

"I'm Tadokoro Megumi. Nice to meet you too, Nakamura-san," the bluenette replied with a small smile.

A wide grin appeared on the (h/c) haired female's lips when she saw Megumi smile. 'She seems so nice and homey. I can feel it -- we are going to be great friends.'

peeked over her shoulder to glance at the blue-haired female sitting beside (Y/n).

"Well, I never thought that I'd be together in a dorm with you, Tadokoro," he grinned at her.

"You're right!" The said female squeaked nervously.

(Y/n) on the other hand, moved her gaze around the room -- trying to know more about her fellow dorm residents, and there was only one word to describe them -- unique.

"As I said, I'm busy studying for the written exam, so host the party somewhere else. Why do you always hold it in my room!" The resident of rook 205 -- complained for the umpteenth time.

"It can't be helped -- your room is the biggest after all," said.

"Don't sit on my bed!" Marui complained.

"Your room is always so clean," complimented.

"I just cleaned it."

"It was a mess until a minute ago," one of the punk-like boys said.

"That's because you two were fighting!"

"Can't you get some chairs for us?"

"Why should I?"

(Y/n) watched in confusion, as the fuchsia-haired female -- Sasaki Ryoko -- approached here.

"Here Nakamura-chan, Yukihira-kun," she said while handing the duo a paper cup which was filled with -- what appeared to be a strong drink. 'It's not alcohol right?'

"It's just rice juice Nakamura-chan," Ryoko assured her.

"Can we be this loud at night?" Souma asked, clearly pointing out towards the ruckus they were causing.

"No worries, this place is surrounded by the woods."

"What about the dorm grandmother, Sakaki-san?" (Y/n) asked hesitantly, but before the fuchsia-haired female can answer, the intercom once again crackled to life.

"Hey, all of you! Come get the Yellowtail and Daikon radish."

'Guess, there go all my worries!' (Y/n) thought while taking a sip from her cup.

"Come back before Fumio-san starts bragging about the elite 10," Yoshino Yuki warned the two like students -- who were going to retrieve the edibles from.

The term elite 10 seemed to have grabbed the redhead boy's attention because (Y/n) could now clearly see the fire of curiosity burning behind those golden hues of his.

"What's the elite 10?" She heard him ask.

"Are you serious?" Sakaki asked in a surprised tone.

"You really came here not knowing anything about this place?" Yuki retorted, she then turned to face the bespectacled boy, "Marui explain."

"Why me?" Marui complained again.

"Stop complaining. It's for the new students," Ryoko reprimanded.

Marui just gave out a tired sigh as he adjusted his glasses, "looks like I have no other choice."

"Totsuki's elite 10 council is a committee comprised of the top 10 students in the academy. At Totsuki many things are left up to the students to decide. Agenda items are brought up to and decided by the elite 10. It's the academy's highest decision-making group. In the organization chart, they're only second to the Director. Even the lecturers have to follow the decisions of the elite 10.

"Many years ago, when the Dormitory was always full, various members of the elite 10 came from Polar Star. There was even a year when all the elite 10 were from here," Yuki added.

"When she starts that story, it never ends," Ryoko added.

Hearing this, the (h/c)ette hummed in reply. 'From what I know, dad was a member of elite 10, and so was Souma's and Erina's father. I definitely can't fall behind now. I must become a member of that council.'

The silence that was engulfing the room for only until a few seconds ago was instantly broken when the two punk like boys returned, along with the food, and the person who was responsible was scaring the shit out of her -- not to mention also ruining a really nice pair of shoes.

"Yukihira Souma-kun, and Nakamura (Y/n)-chan, welcome to Polar Star," the boy greeted the two newbies.

"I'm -- a second year. Feel free to call me Isshiki-senpai."

(Y/n) gingerly shook hands with her upperclassmen all the while giving him her infamous death glare for doing you-know-what.

The boy -- Ishhiki-senpai, just simply chose to ignore her hostile glances and continued to smile brightly at her. "I'm so happy. We have another friend to share this experience with. Nothing makes me happier."

"Listen, everyone," he called out dramatically, "young people -- living together, eating together -- this is youth! This is school life! This is why I wanted to live in a dorm! Let's celebrate this beautiful dorm life together!"

"That's great and all, but can you stop crawling around the roof to come to see us?" Someone complained.

"You mean to say that this happens frequently?" (Y/n) gasped out in horror.

"He did that to you too?" Souma let out in an irritated expression.

The (h/c)ette just nodded her head in reply, " but I threw a shoe at him."

"Man, that must've been a sight -- I wish I could've seen that!" the redhead exclaimed.

Isshiki on the other hand was lost in his own thoughts. "You guys don't like that? I'll guess I have to use this for you too," he said while gesturing towards the old-fashioned intercom. "When I use this, Tadokoro-chan always joins us."

At this, a sickening expression covered her face, "That's because if I don't say yes, he keeps talking to me every few minutes."

"He will give up if you ignore him," Ryoko advised in a motherly tone.

"That sounds way too annoying," one of the boys complained.

"Yeah, the roof is a better option."

"What can I say, the dorm is full of weird people," Souma lowly whispered in the ears of his childhood companion – his warm breath fanning her face and sending tickling sensations through her face.

"You are one to talk," she let out nervously – her face turning red because of such proximity between the two.

Souma just gave her a puzzled look, clearly getting confused by both (Y/n)'s statements as well as the sight of her flushed cheeks – it was quite an endearing sight, to be honest.

This small intimacy came to an end when they heard their only senpai in the Dormitory yell something.

"Do all of you have your drinks?" He asked, and everyone just yelled out a 'yes.'

"To Yukihira Souma-kun, and Nakamura (Y/n)-chan's future and the glory of Polar Star. CHEERS!"

Everyone cheered in unison.

(Y/n) smiled warmly at the sight of her new classmates enjoying to their fullest.

'Somehow...the cheerful atmosphere along with the effects of this rice juice – has compelled me to let my guard down – for the first time in years. It should be okay for me to live in the moment, right?'

"Let's go!" The (h/c)ette, who is currently drunk on rice juice – yelled at the top of her lungs as she joined on in the group song, which was horribly off-tune.

"FOOD! THERE'S NOT ENOUGH FOOD!" Souma yelled while looping an arm around the (h/c)ette's neck. The said female's heartbeat increased at a rapid rate. Needless to say, that this is happening because of how close the redhead is to her.

'I hope he doesn't hear the sound of my heartbeat. What am I thinking? It's Souma for heaven's sake. He's as dense as mercury!' She slumped at the thought. The (h/c) haired girl was brought out of her daydreams when she felt something soft press against her lips.

It was Souma – feeding her a piece of smoked jerky. It was cooked to perfection, and the smokiness made her crave for more, and apparently, it was prepared by one of the first years like her. Totsuki's students are certainly on a completely different level.

The rest of the night was followed by them devouring all kinds of food prepared by the eccentric residents of Polar Star Dormitory.

And in the midst of all this wildness, the (h/c) haired female found herself slipping into slumber as someone gently patted her hair.

Her last thought being, 'Damn it! Why do I always fall asleep at the most exciting of times? Curse you to hell my sleepiness, and who is lulling me to sleep by patting my hair?'
