'Ah, I see, a quest at last. It's been a while since I got one, and I can also see that my guess was right all along' Jesus said internally while reading the details of the quest presented in front of him
Once he was done reading the details of the quest, he then moved onto the reward and once he did, he can't help but think that the rewards upon completion of the quest are quite lackluster.
Even though 10 stats to all of his attributes are considered 3 level ups which is good as he barely levels up these days, it's still a small reward for facing off against almost 50 Orcs pretty much by himself.
Even if decides to do this with others like the hunters in the village, what would they do? Nothing! Absolutely nothing at all as none of them are even strong enough to kill even one of them individually. The only people he could think of who are strong enough to face one by themselves that lives in the village are Jack, Ella, and, Aiden but one of those 3 are dead so that leaves 2 left that can single-handedly kill one by themselves if they play it smart
But they're pretty much useless as they will be tired out once they defeat their opponent so that only leaves one being who can actually help him out which is no other than Lucy herself
The odds of him surviving with Lucy in the mix will dramatically increase but she still can't fight against an Orc General as they are at the same level of strength as Lucy's. So if by chance she gets gang up by a full group of Orcs and an Orc general leading them, then she's good as dead. Jesus of course doesn't want that so he is deciding if he should let her join him on the massacre or let her stay put to the side
'You know what, I'll decide this matter for later and as for the hidden reward, It might be a good one once I complete it so let's not judge it right away and wait until it's over to see if it's good or not'
While Jesus was thinking of what to do with the information he had gotten, Alex who was sitting across from him, started making a confused expression on why Jesus stops talking and why he's been looking at nothing but at his face with a blank expression for a few minutes
'Is he okay? Did he hurt his head too hard while he was in the city these past 2 months?" Alex thought while staying silent to see if Jesus would talk again but he couldn't take the silent atmosphere any longer and decided to speak
"Umm... Why did you go quiet all of a sudden" Alex said out loud so Jesus could hear which it work as Jesus broke off from his thoughts and went back to reality
"Don't worry about it as I was thinking for a bit, and while I was thinking, I can confidently say that my answer was right all along" Jesus said
"Oh... okay! So do you know of the location or something for you to know this?" Alex asked while being skeptical a bit but just played along
"Yes I do as I actually saw a different village that looked odd around the area while I was traveling here not too long ago," Jesus said while lying through his teeth to Alex
but due to his expression not changing or his heartbeat rapidly increasing, Alex believe him somewhat fully
"Ah, I see! Understandably, you might come across a village besides ours through your trip here. But are you sure the village that you saw is actually the right one?"
"You can either believe me or not, I don't give a shit anyways. I'm only saying this because the village looked odd and underdeveloped like it's been recently built not too long ago"
'Wow master, you're a skillful liar that's for sure' Lucy said telepathically to Jesus
'Shut it! It's hard making up lies, so let me concentrate making up more lies so he can believe me more'
'Whatever you say, master'
"So what must we do then if we are to take on a full group of those beasts that even one of our strongest was barely able to beat?"
"When did I say we? I'm doing this by myself as dragging you lots around will be a hassle in its self" Jesus said in his usual tone but the words that came out of his mouth made both Lucy's and Alex's expressions turned into worry
"Don't be a fool! Facing a full group of them by yourself is pretty much suicide" Alex pointed out
'Master I know you're not lying about the village part, but you facing all of them by yourself is gonna get yourself killed. I'm joining no matter what, even if I have to ignore your orders'
Jesus didn't bother listening and continued "What can your village do, huh? Stall for a second and then die altogether? If you want all of your hunters to die then be my guest as I'm not gonna bother protecting them."
'And Lucy, I'm still thinking if you should join or not as you dying will be pretty high as there are Orcs there that are the same strength as you, and if you get to get gang up on then you are good as dead. Even If you can escape using your Shadow abilities, if by chance you get caught off guard then you're a goner'
'B-But mas-'
'No buts! I can't have you dying on me so shut up, and you might join me so don't complain to me until I make the decision you don't want' Jesus said in a cold voice that made Lucy shudder a bit
The atmosphere turned silent as neither both Lucy nor Alex want to say anything to Jesus as they know there is nothing that can change his mind
Jesus then sigh and decided to speak "I know what I'm doing you, Idiots. Even though it might be dangerous, I'm still gonna try and see what's the best and fastest way to handle this situation"
The atmosphere continued to be silent as none of them wanting to speak any further about this, so Jesus decided to get up and went straight for the door with Lucy behind him
"Where are you going?"
"To the Orc village, duh. Ah Also don't misunderstand, I'm only doing this so I can get an award from you lots once I'm finished" That's all Jesus said before closing the door and leaving Alex all by himself
"For rewards, huh? Well let's hope you survive because a few people won't be happy if you don't"
"So you better survive so I can give you your reward" Alex said before getting up and went straight to the kitchen to make him some Tea
