Chapter 131 - Chapter 131 - New Teammate.

Wilson's grip loosened. His little opponent pushed him away. He hit the ground gripping his head. Blood came out of all seven orifices.

Charlie looked very worried. He stepped forward to help but the instructor pulled him back.

"Let him learn to deal with mental attacks."

"He will die!" Charlie countered.

"A good fighter should know when to give up in order to survive."

Charlie tapped his foot and his fingers rapidly. Danny, Fawn and Dash looked just as worried. They did not speak a word and just looked on without an idea what they could do when facing such an attack.

Dash couldn't look on anymore. It was one thing to be dishing out an immense amount of hurt. It was a completely different thing to be on the receiving end. As he looked away, he saw Sofia standing, with tears in her eyes. Charlie had put her down some time ago when he wanted to disrupt the match to stop Wilson from dying.

Sofia cried. It was painful to watch but she couldn't look away. Her big brother Wilson was in a lot of pain and she heard the instructor say there was nothing they could do. Dash moved and stood in front of her. She looked up at him. He gave a small smile, went on a knee and hugged her. He then turned to the side to stop her from watching the gory match.

Wilson yelled on though and everyone could hear, which didn't make things much better. He could not think, the slightest movements increased his pain exponentially and he was bleeding out fast. The referee watched from s distance. His sight set on Wilson like a hawk at his prey. He was waiting for a sign that Wilson wanted to surrender.

"Give up already. Just give any form of consent and the pain will stop." That was what he whispered to Wilson, directly sending the sound into his ears. Unfortunately, the sound could not pass through the barrier formed by pain. Wilson did not hear any of the advices the referee generously gave out.

The excruciating mental attack went on for a long time. Already, seven minutes had gone by like the wind. So much blood had found its way out of Wilson's body that it formed a little pool under him and had almost started dripping down a side of the ring.

All the spectators had started cursing and cussing at the referee to stop the match.

"That's enough!"

"This is pointless."

"End the freaking match already. I want to see some actual brawling."

"He obviously doesn't have a chance. It's a miracle he hasn't died from blood loss already."

"Do it already, damnit."

The referee, unfortunately, was a very rigid man when it came to rules. Hence, the one-sided mental hurt went on for over seven minutes before deciding it truly was pointless to follow the rules without some flexibility.

He opened his mouth to end the match but immediately paused.

Wilson had stopped. He was never unconscious and it was apparent because he had yelled in pain nonstop for those seven minutes. All.of a sudden, he stopped moving. The crowd quietened. Was he dead? Didn't seem like it. He had stopped screaming in pain but his fingers were twitching. His pool blood started pulsating as if it was alive. It roiled and bubbled and slowly began to seep back into Wilson's body.

"What the fuck?" Charlie blurted out, making Dash lookup from his sister's embrace, his hands still covering her ears.

A thin red ball made of blood seemed to cover Wilson's head. The cute little guy looked beyond shocked. As soon as the Wilson's head was covered, his opponent lost access to his mental faculties. The pain immediately stopped. Wilson levitated in the air a little, his feet hanging above the rings floor. His eyes were closed but no one could tell through the blood ball.

Wilson stretched his hand towards his opponent. The origin of torture he had experienced in the past eight minutes. It was his turn to feel pain.

"I surrender." The boy said as quickly as possible. His words came out of his mouth so quickly, it took the ref three seconds to understand what had just been said.

"Stop!" The ref yelled, not hesitating to stand between Wilson and his opponent, who immediately ran away.

"The mental ability is a scary one." Danny muttered and shuddered.

"What bothers me even more is Wilson." Fawn continued. "Didn't they say Wilson had no ability cell whatsoever?"

"Well, That's not always accurate. There have been some people in history who were said to not have a single ability cell but still awakened sometime later. Usually when they were tested to their very limits. A genius friend I used to know, researched on it as a school project. You know what his speculation was? He said that, awakening is like a destination which seemed to be have many roads leading to it. Unfortunately, humanity has only paid attention to just one of them. Mostly because that's the only one that seems logical and explainable."

Charlie rushed over to the ring, manifesting a small number of potions.

Wilson fell down slowly as the ball dissipated. Before his back could touch the ground, Charlie had arrived behind him. the latter held him up and began to feed him potion after potion.

The crowd looked on. The sheer amount of potions Charlie materialised in each batch made many of the spectators feel the hands itch. They was a lot of money being splurged down a single person's throat. Jealousy slowly and dangerously seeped into their hearts.

The referee noticed it and whispered into every ear surrounding the ring.

"Don't even think about it! Not while I'm here!"

The announcer followed up with an announcement.

"Ladies and Gentlemen. The Devourers have forfeited the competition. Your winners of the wrestling competition and Forest City's representatives in the wrestling competition, The Trainwrecks!"

The announcement met with a lacklustre reaction. They were still mostly focused on the potions Wilson had continued to swallow. Even the rest of the Trainwreck team looked puzzled.

And as they relaxed together in their instructor's room in a hotel later that night, they talked about it.

"Just how much money does Charlie have?"

"That was like fifty potions."

"Is Charlie like the scion of some big organisation?"

"Or maybe the scion is Wilson. While we were escaping from a large group of bounty hunters, Charlie literally dropped from the sky to help." Dash said.

"Big Brother Wilson is very cultured." Sofia added her own observations. Danny frowned a little.

"Cultured?" He questioned.

The instructor chimed in.

"Now that she mentions it, he does seem to be polite and he does have that refined look to him."

"Yeah!" Fawn agreed. "As long as you ignore his weird, masochistic penchant for fighting."

"Dash. You've known him longer than the rest of us have. What do you know about him?"

Dash shrugged. "Wilson didn't tell me much. I didn't ask either. But he did seem somewhat naive when we first met. Like he was still not used to brutal, heartless side of life. If you know what I mean."

"Brother Wilson says he comes from a village."

"I don't believe it."

"It might have been metaphorical." Their instructor said. "My genius friend used to call himself dumb. He was by far the smartest person I knew. That was until I met the rest of his family. They did make him look dumb."

Danny picked something up from what the instructor said.

"Hold up! You met his family? Were you engaged? Are you married?"

The instructor coughed and abruptly changed the topic.

"I have registered us." She said.

"Didn't the rules say at least five members?" Fawn instantly remembered the only rule that still held them back.

"We have a fifth member?" Danny asked.

"Who's the fifth?" Dash followed up.

Their instructor beamed and looked at the door.

"I believe you have all seen him in action."

The door opened. A cute boy who looks the same age as Sofia walked in. He gave a very cute, disarming smile with squinted eyes.

"Hello everyone. Nice to meet you. I am your new teammate, Gene Chang."

The room was quiet for a long while. Then they all yelled together.

"What the fuck?"
