Chapter 108 - Chapter 108- An Alliance of the Hunted part 4

"Now!"

Wilson stabbed forward from behind and the knife penetrated Captain Boomerang's flesh like hot knife through butter. He twisted the knife inside his ambush victim's back; his hand over Captain Boomerang's mouth to ensure he would not make a noise. He stabbed two more times; one to the chest and the last one went straight for the jugular of the victim, putting him down for good.

"Great! Bring back the body, cloth and all. The useless wannabe will be more useful in his death than when he was alive."

Wilson grabbed the bleeding body and dragged it into the hollow tree he came out of.

"Dash, what do you intend to do with a dead body?" Wilson asked as he watched Dash remove the spatial ring from the dead body.

'Rich bastard! Your parents are so wealthy, why did you choose an occupation such as this, especially when you are both lazy and untalented combat-wise?' Dash thought as he emptied the spatial ring of its mid and high level potions; healing, Mana, rejuvenation and even Viagra potions, were abundant in the ring. Also in it were necessities like make-shift tents, weapons, clothes, shoes, phone and several unnecessary things like porn magazines, sweets of all kinds and the earlier mentioned viagra.

"Well, if you think about it, they were probably all important things to him." Wilson said.

"Yeah!" Dash agreed, his eyes on the screens once more.

"And I don't think we should be desecrating a dead man's body like that." Wilson said.

"Do you know what I want to do with the body?" Dash asked.

"What?"

"Scare tactics!"

"Huh?"

"Scare tactics. We are going to use the bodies to instill fear in them. Just remember to bring the dead body of everyone you kill, okay? When it is dawn, we will use it to scare the remaining ones alive." Dash explained.

"Okay!" Wilson responded and then, he thought about their little sister.

"What about Sofia? Do you know how she is doing?" Wilson asked another question. He was worried about her.

"She's fine!" Dash answered, pressing some keys. A video of Sofia appeared on one of the smaller screens. "She is asleep. So, she can't even hear any of the chaos going on outside. As much as I hate to admit it, my dad was always very meticulous with his hunting preparations."

Wilson nodded. Dash replaced the video with the one on it before and muttered his numbers.

"twenty-three, twenty-four, twenty-five."

Wilson heard him loud and clear though and could not help asking:

"Twenty-five left?"

"More or less."

"More or less?" Wilson repeated.

"Yes. Some of them might not be dead. The satellite reads them by their heat signatures. If some of them are rich or cautious enough to use any of those equipments that hides one's heat signature, the radar can't differentiate them from the woods and floor."

"So, what do we do?"

"We just have to be very careful. Hunt only those we are sure of and play the patience game with the rest of them. If we can wear the strong ones out first, the rest would be easy peasy."

Wilson nodded. He understood perfectly. Hunt the weak, wear out the strong.

"So, who's next?" He asked and Dash instantly pointed at a red dot to the far right and then at another screen that showed a fat man leaning on a fallen piece of wood, exhausted.

"Husky is the name everyone knows him as. He has a heightened sense of smell and hearing. That is his ability."

"Alright!" Wilson nodded and returned to the disc, standing straight on it.

"No, I will handle this one." Dash suddenly said.

Wilson was shocked; "What?"

"Yeah! My speed will be a big problem for him. In the meantime, you have to stay here and tell me if any of the other red dots should suddenly disappear."

Dash looked at Wilson and continued.

"You should change to one of those clothes over there. We don't want them discovering you because of the smell of blood and guts." He was referring to the clothes of Captain Boomerang.

"I know they are one size too small. But they won't hinder your movements and they are more importantly clean and without smell of any kind. So, just manage it for now! We would figure something out when things have calmed down." He said and standing on the disc Wilson had walked away from, he disappeared from sight.

"Wilson counted the red dots himself.

"Twenty-five!" He whispered to himself as he pulled off his clothes and cleaned himself with some soft body wipes he saw on the floor.

"It must have been in the ring." He muttered to himself as he wiped and then, put on the slightly undersized elastic spare clothing of Captain Boomerang, his eyes pausing a little on those boomerangs that laid on the floor.
