Chapter 46 – Who else wants to say something stupid about my mother?
Wilson ran straight for the teenage toddler and kicked at him. As soon as Wilson's foot touched the toddler, he immediately disintegrated, leaving Wilson temporarily confused. The lady that stood beside the 'toddler' blinked beside Wilson by his right, spun on her heel and smacked Wilson in the face. Wilson staggered forward a few steps from the force before regaining balance but as soon as he did, he felt a significant weight smash into his back and sent him crashing on the not-so-hard, not-so-soft floor of the training room. That was the toddler. He had integrated behind Wilson and flung his surprisingly massive weight at Wilson from behind, sending him crashing on the floor. Wilson felt a dangerous moving force that made his hair stand on end. He immediately rolled thrice and jumped on his feet. At the same time, he saw the big bald guy with the boyish look land at his previous position. Apparently, 'boyish' had leapt into the air and landed with the aim of sending him straight to the hospital after breaking a good number of his bones. The floor sank where he landed and there was some trembling as the ground seemed to rumble making everyone around stagger a bit.
Wilson moved his head backwards to dodge a right hook from the lady. Someone grabbed his neck from behind in a sleeper hold and chuckled. Wilson saw the others rush at him with obviously bad intentions. He raised his leg and stomped on the foot of the idiot that dared to grapple him. The grapple loosened and Wilson grabbed the elbow and threw the idiot over his shoulders with great strength. The grappler flew in the air and was fortunately caught by the big guy.
A fast punch came at Wilson from his left. Wilson saw it coming but the punch was too fast to be dodged. It was literally a blur that hit Wilson. Wilson staggered backwards three steps and swung at the blur, hoping to catch him. Or her. The blur ducked under Wilson's fist and hit his abdomen, chest and finished with an uppercut, pushing Wilson back another couple steps.
Wilson looked up involuntarily from the uppercut, but when he brought his head down to look at his opponents, he realised that they had all paused. The blur was no more near him. Wilson was suspicious. Why had they suddenly stopped? They had gotten a good advantage, so, why stop now? He took another step back and felt his back against the wall.
"Oh no!" Wilson unconsciously muttered. He had been successfully backed into a wall. He looked around again and saw some of them grinning. Wilson thought fast. He was already at an advantage number-wise. Now, he was backed into the wall. Wilson contemplated the old trick of barging through the crowd to the other side while he ignored the pain they would inflict on him. That was, at the very least, better than being backed to the wall, right? No, there must be a safer way.
'What are the chances of him even reaching the other side through such an hostile crowd? I need another plan!' Wilson thought. The twenty-something teenagers slowly closed in by one meter, leaving five meters between them and Wilson. They seemed overly cautious and Wilson could not quite understand why. But that was not even important. What was important was how to get out of this mess and taking out a couple of them in the process.
But think as he may, Wilson could not think of any other methods to get of his corner.
'Barging out it is then!' Wilson concluded and frowned as he scanned the crowd for the weakest link. He knew he had to avoid the big guy who nearly pasted him with the floor, the disintegrating toddler, that lady beside him who he could not seem to understand her power and that blurry figure. He then realized a problem. He did not even know who the blur is. He or she could be here or maybe the person was gone or hiding somewhere, looking for another chance to strike.
There was only three meters left between them. Wilson bent his knees, took in a deep breath and went right in.
He ran into the crowd by his left. The dangerous ones were by his right. Or at least, the ones he deemed dangerous, either by experience or by instinct.
Wilson entered the crowd and swung his fists maniacally, kicks occasionally followed. He punched and got punched. He kicked and got kicked. Only when he got in the crowd did he realize, even the harmless looking ones were annoyingly dangerous. An innocent looking lady with a flat chest and a pretty face punched at Wilson's face. He moved his head backwards before swatting the hand away. Someone grappled him in a sleeper hold again and clung on him with his legs around his waist. He then chuckled, making Wilson realize that it was the same annoying idiot.
'Dammit! How did I not notice him? He is even more annoying than the blur.' Wilson thought to himself.
Some average looking identical twins hit Wilson's abdomen sides hard. His insides froze slightly, enough to make Wilson feel very uncomfortable and weak. A light fist appeared and smacked the right side of his face. Then, appeared by his left and hit him.
Right, Left, right, left, right, left, right....
Wilson was stunned, infuriated, frustrated, all the negative emotions. He was weak from the ice. He was already beginning to have frostbite. His knees gave way. The toddler suddenly integrated and gave him a spinning heel to the face while the grappler left him alone. Wilson's face hit the floor with a bang. The teenage toddler moved forward and grabbed Wilson's face, slapped him and asked;
"What team? What team sent you to your doom? What kind of teammates are they and why would you choose to come alone? Don't you know that is really stupid?"
Wilson looked at his blurry features with his slowly closing eyelids. The teenage toddler slapped him again and grabbed his hair and yelled at his face.
"Motherf*cker! What did you think would happen? What, with barely two days left to fight fest, you come to a place you do not belong. You enter here with such pride when you are barely even a fighter. Did your mother not teach you common sense?"
The grappler chuckled from behind and said: " I don't think his mum even has the slightest bit of common sense herself."
That did it. Nobody talks about Wilson's beloved mother that way.
Wilson's negative emotions instantly became rage which became fuel for his body. He felt that rush of adrenaline he felt at 'the Abyss' again. He butted the teenage toddler right in the face with his head. The toddler was taken by surprise and therefore received the full brunt of the attack. His face sunk in, his nose broke and bled and his upper lip burst open. He was stunned for a while and was unable to think as he just lay flat on the ground. Even his brain refused to transmit the pain instantly and delayed for about three seconds.
Within that three seconds, Wilson had stood up, turned around and punched those identical twins, successfully knocking them out in two quick punches. It was easy as they were standing right beside each other.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!" The teenage toddler's voice finally rang out. As if that was a signal, everyone finally woke from their daze and collectively took a step back. They had crowded around Wilson and the toddler earlier and were too close for comfort. Wilson at that exact time, saw the grappler that liked to chuckle and said that crap about his mother.
Wilson took a step forward and ducked under a rapidly swung fist from a thin, six-feet-something tall lady and proceeded to grab the grappler.
Wilson raised his fist. At that exact second, the blur appeared by his side again and hit Wilson right at the joint connecting his arm to the shoulder. Wilson's arm dropped weakly but he drew the grappler closer to him with his other hand and gave him a severe headbutt that broke his nose. Someone grabbed Wilson's neck from behind with one hand. Wilson grabbed the grappler by the neck as well with both hands.
"Kill him!" Wilson heard the toddler say and immediately said aloud to himself;
"Kill? In that case..."
Wilson instantly squeezed the neck of the struggling grappler till he turned blue and with unprecedented speed, he pulled the grappler and raised his knee to hit him below the chin. The force successfully broke the neck of the rude, insulting grappler.
*CRACK*
Someone gasped in shock, some fell on their behind in fear, some fainted but regardless of their reaction, everyone stopped advancing with their mouths ajar. Even the hand squeezing Wilson's neck very tightly loosened its grip and retreated.
"You…you…..you…you maniac! You just…..you just....you killed someone!" The teenage toddler screamed as he pointed with shaky fingers. Wilson looked around and they all retreated. They had surrounded him before in order to beat him up, but now, they collectively retreated in fear.
"Who else wants to say something stupid about my mother?" Wilson asked.
