Debs call had left me in tears, my hands were shaking and I had almost collapsed to the floor.
I rushed to hospital, Deb had told me the fact that hubs had gone to help him and while he was returning back, he was in a police shootout.
I was hyperventilating, my past revolving in my brain. Had my hubs been in the hood again? Why was he in a police shootout ?
I reached to the hospital with police cars standing and rushed to his ward.
"Nobody can go in!", the police stopped me.
"I'm his wife!", even so its not a good reason for you to go in.
"Please..please let me in!", I begged.
"You can go in after the police are done questioning him!"
"Can you please atleast tell me whats the matter? Why is he here?"
"We are not liable to give this information to the public!"
I could barely stand still, the thought of my hubs getting involved with the cops was terrifying. I had lost my family and even myself to it, and now my hubs too?
As I was about to faint from this overwhelming feeling the cop stopped me from falling down. And I was rushed to the ER.
And there he was the handsome doctor smiling when he saw me wake up. I felt better seeing a face not of a criminal I guess.
"You just have a minor concussion! You will be fine miss!" , he said.
And in this moment of grief, I just clasped his hand tight and began weeping. He tried his level best to console me. Only for the cops to arrive and tell me I could see my hubs now.
I ran like a mouse to cheese.
There he laid on his bed, his eyes bruised , his left hand plastered and him barely being able to sleep.
The RN walked upto me and said ,"You can just see, don't talk. He already did more than he could. We have given him some painkillers!"
I sat beside him, quietly as I broke down with minutes of anticipation.
Deb was no where in site. That bastard knew what was going on and still didn't come to stand by his friend. Maybe he had set my hubs up !
There were endless possibilities but I didn't want the possibility of my hubs being wrong in this.
