Months had come and gone. My trauma of being outside the safe zone had begun to wear off. As long as Wystan is nearby, I felt at peace and at home.
I had followed quite religiously and been exposed to his royal obligations. Turns out he was telling the truth. There really was not much to deal with, purely because Remi was handling most of it. The trust he had in Remi, and the trust Remi had for their people, was applaudable. There were barely any complaints. Mostly pleas to build Hawthorn Empire a better place, a better tomorrow for their future generations without travelling abroad. Now, that's one dedication!
