A voice rang out again, amidst the world of light that swirled at many points, "We don't know yet what you have to do to get back to where you came from, Human. Spirits that were not whole or that had not yet completely died had never made it this far.
"They won't even be able to get through the gates of the spirits. If they passed through a maelstrom and passage, they would be lost there for a very long time. Sometimes they can come back, but sometimes they can experience real death."
"How can be like that? Is there anything in that passage that can kill the souls of a once-living creature?" Daniel's memories flowed gently. Now he remembered the beautiful place where several people sat cross-legged and chatted solemnly.
What was that place? Why was it so beautiful, and would Daniel have the chance to live there one day? And why didn't the souls there incarnate?
