Daniel dragged Wendy's body behind a rock that was curved enough and could potentially be used as a shelter. If he wanted to focus on this battle, then he had to make sure that Wendy's body wouldn't be found by the monsters.
The image of Lis' body that had been crushed and died being swallowed up by monsters was still ringing in her memory, and she didn't want Wendy to have the same destiny. Even though Wendy looked dying now, Daniel wouldn't give up. And even though later Wendy could not be saved her life at least he would bring her body back home or returned her to the human world. Wendy should be buried well. It's just that, Daniel still had the highest hope that they could all survive and get out of this place.
Roars could be heard from all over, the thump of feet that could shake the ground was getting closer and closer. Daniel prepared his horses, wiping the sweat from his forehead and the blood from the corners of his mouth. The crowbar in his hand was tightly gripped, and he was ready to fight again to the death.
After all, he now knew their weak point, and how they could fall first.
All the monsters were now clearly visible, they surrounded Daniel. At first, he thought that the monsters would attack him together or one by one, but what he found was the roaring laughter of more than a dozen monsters.
There was the biggest monster among the others, which was fifty meters tall with the biggest outcrop of rock and the one that looked the most solid. His eyes flashed a yellowish glow, and Daniel saw a different glow from his heart. Most of the monsters in that place had a dark yellow heart flame, but the biggest one had a very bright yellow heart flame, as bright as a flaming rock throughout the cave.
And even Daniel was able to see, faintly some flaming yellow natural rocks were now floating in the air and surrounding the biggest monster, like the heirlooms that followed. Somehow Daniel was sure that the monster was Brok. He sure looked really strong, and damn, how would Daniel take down him later?
That yellow sparkling rock was another source of life for illusionist stone-shaped monsters. The yellow stones were the stones that come from the world of Sotah, which several hundred thousands of years ago were carried by monsters everywhere by attaching them to their respective bodies.
The element of the yellow stone would give them unlimited energy to revive. And some of the strong monsters did have more yellow stones than others. The yellow rock could only be obtained by defeating the Zedez, the guardians of the Hork Mountains who protected yellow stones on their ground. Those mountains only existed in the world of Sotah.
Laughter still roared in the middle of the daydream Daniel while staring at Brok non-stop. "What is this? It's just a little mouse. And why is there an emergency signal to be issued? Who did that?"
The monsters muttered and then looked around in all directions, trying to find the sender of the emergency signal that had been sent by the fake Mr. Parkin. The emergency signal would be carried out if one of them needed help on a large scale.
After finding no one, one of the monsters commanded, "Zurk, take care of him! We will continue the discussion. Brok looks unhappy at the back." Then the monster turned his head back, observing Brok who was currently standing horribly with strange glowing eyes.
A monster named Zurk, who was quite tall with the largest gnarled palms among the others, was now leisurely approaching Daniel. His face was almost inexplicable because Zurk had a face that did not resemble a face. His face shape was only like a stone, without any eyes, mouth, and/or nose. But when he bent down and almost caught Daniel, he made a slit in the middle of his face, Daniel knew it was Zurk's mouth.
"Come on, little mouse! You shouldn't be here. You should be in the kitchen waiting for your turn to bake. Oh, or did you just accidentally enter the portal? Wow, portals do have to get a boost of energy so that creatures like you don't accidentally enter. But… .we won't do it because that's what we want. " Then Zurk's body shook with a roaring laugh. As he was shaken, several stones from his body collapsed and rained down on Daniel, like a thousand small pebbles.
The other monsters were gone, following Brok in one direction. Daniel wondered if he needed to buy time for the monsters to go far first, only then Daniel would attack and destroy Zurk. Because then he had the opportunity to escape with Wendy.
But beyond realizing it, he had swung the crowbar at Zurk, who had just barely caught Daniel. It was just a reflex, in the middle of his daydream.
Zurk roared, in pain. The gnarled hands started to burn and erode very quickly. Now he's stumped, and Zurk looked wide in shock.
From a distance, the monsters stopped and turned their heads. When they saw that Daniel could overthrow Zurk and blow up Zurk, they finally decided to postpone the discussion. Now they immediately ran quickly, to get to Daniel who almost broke the place where he had hidden Wendy until finally he stopped in his tracks and prepared to fight again.
Now the monsters became even tenser, with their eyes burning fiercely. They looked at Daniel and then at the pile of dust where Zurk's body had exploded. One of them said, "How can you do that, human?" Then without the need to wait anymore, he rushed over to Daniel to try to step on him.
Daniel drew his crowbar, he managed to stab the feet of the monster. Now the monster groaned and fell with the soles of his feet which had been crushed and disappeared with the wind.
The monster stared. "Gan - Gandura Sword?" Then he inched almost away, terrified and not brave enough to face Daniel.
Amid all this, Daniel did not quite understand what the monster meant, which had been mutilated in his ankle. All he knew now was that he could defeat monsters. His chest seemed to bounce with an even wider beat. He felt the movement of his heart muscle almost reaching his limits, but Daniel was still alive.
One of the monsters jumped from behind, grunted, and gritted his teeth. "There is no Gandura Sword in the present. Algeros was dead, and the glory of has collapsed. The universe's core that awakens again will give off its aura, but there is no such aura in his body. He's not Algeros, not at all."
Daniel remained on alert with his crowbar, whether he understood all the nonsense of the monsters busy arguing with each other or not.
"He's just a kid, a lucky little kid." Then the monster jumped to destroy Daniel, rolling on one side to run over him when he found out Daniel could dodge.
Daniel gasped because he didn't get the slightest rest. But this he could still handle, rather than the beating of the three monsters that attacked him just a moment ago. Daniel tried to draw out the monster attacking him, who he soon found out was named Jughr. He was the vice of Brok, who would rule the other monsters by direct orders from Brok.
Now Jughr crept over the ground, mouth grimacing and baring stone teeth with his sulfuric fumes. Of all Daniel's attacks, none of them could hit Jughr's body. Jughr moved very fast, has excellent reflexes.
It's going to be a pretty long flight, and unfortunately, Daniel was getting exhausted right now.
