"Listen carefully!" said Daniel, glaring at Wendy who was still a bit sleepy. His ears were alert when he heard the creaking and also the very strange tapping of feet.
Wendy who had been yawning now froze. She didn't stop moving at all and even subconsciously held her breath for too long. Now she was panting, unsure what to do. "What's that?" She hissed silently. Her hands pulled the blanket so it could cover her body.
But was it really useful?
Once again the voice was heard, namely the sound of tapping feet, passing by as if wanting to enter the room. But something was blocking it. A hiss was also heard, then it was like the rattling of giant teeth, for the rattling could be heard quite clearly.
"A monster," Daniel said quietly.
Wendy widened her eyes, then heard the door banging and also shaking. "Dan," she shrieked, failing to contain herself. She shuffled to sit up, then looked for whatever item she could use to hit.
