"You know the person I'm referring to is not the real Mr. Parkin." Daniel's eyes flashed red as if he was disappointed in Wendy. Not wrong. He was disappointed in his cousin.
If only Wendy had listened to what he had to say from the start, then she would have been more warning than Mr. Parkin. And if so then the girl would refuse a ride from Mr. Parkin. The result was that Wendy wouldn't disappear, and neither would Daniel.
But without this tragedy, he wasn't sure he could know his true identity, that he was a legend.
"You hitchhiked in his car, and you didn't come home after that. Mr. Parkin was the same, you two never came home."
Wendy tried to search for memories in her brain, but unfortunately, none of them came to the surface. She had no memory of Mr. Parkin giving her a ride, nor of the time she returned home.
"Then what did you do?" asked Wendy.
