"Aunt Lis…. I'm even more sure now that there's something wrong with her. Is she trying to harm me by giving me peanut syrup? But why?" Daniel thought about it all the way home until he met Lis again and faked a smile.
At that time Daniel saw a strange glint in Lis's eyes as if something had crawled from within her vision.
"Where are you from, Dan?" Lis asked, getting closer, and letting out a slightly stinky breath. Why did Liz's breath smell? But yesterday it wasn't.
"I just took out the trash, Auntie. Where are you going with Uncle Ted?"
Uncle Ted emerged from inside the house, limping on one side. But now his condition had improved a bit. "I'll take Lis to buy some clothes at the shop. You guys stay in the house and do some other work."
Wendy also arose from inside the house. Her face was sullen in protest. "I do not want to! Uncle and Aunt Lis will have fun but why should we continue with work?"
Wendy was right too.
