Daniel kept the black cover book with great care. He didn't want the book to be lost, or to get Uncle Ted's temper if the two of them fought.
The morning was approaching. Daniel was getting quite a good night's sleep now. And hope after hope came out in his heart. He could immediately figure out all the causes of the monster's attack, and perhaps a way to train strength.
Daniel should have gone out of town, to climb the mountain to meet the hermit there. But he was still figuring out how, considering Uncle Ted's pretty strict rules bound him.
