A simple dinner dish had been made. And the people who prepared it all were Wendy and Daniel. Living as orphans made them more independent at an early age.
Lis insisted on helping because she couldn't let two teenagers move by themselves to make dinner. Meanwhile, Uncle Ted could only sit down in surrender because his legs were still hurting uncontrollably.
"Just sit back and rest! You just drove a long way." Uncle Ted persuaded. He didn't feel good about bringing his new girlfriend home and had to see her cook dinner after a long drive. He should be able to help.
But Lis insisted. "I will help them cook the dinner menu. Don't you see a great opportunity for insight?"
Uncle Ted frowned in confusion. "What do you mean?"
"Of course I can become closer with your nephews. It can make the atmosphere of this house warmer."
Seeing Lis's gentle smile made Uncle Ted give up. He finally allowed Lis to help Daniel and Wendy cook dinner.
