Daniel searched through the blanks of his brain. "I give up! It might take more than a month to get to Farin City by bicycle. Are there no settlements and someone I can meet here? Like the police, for example?"
"A human who often carries explosive weapons on his waist?" asked Baredek.
"Right," Daniel nodded. "Only they can help me to go to Farin City."
Baredek shook with a strange sound like burping. Water dripped from the top of his head several times and plunged through his shining white hair. The snake's tail wriggled a few times. "You can count on me, My Lord. I can take you to Farin City."
