"A spectacle, or perhaps a test," Desmond thought as he gazed at the island from above. Though he had remained in the dark about the more specific details of Claire and the rest's adventure, Desmond had come to a very similar conclusion, albeit from a different basis.
Desmond himself wasn't sure what to call it. It was a sort of instinct, but one very different from anything he had experienced before. His perception of mana, more powerful and sensitive than ever, also gave him a rather interesting reading of the island from which he could conclude a few things. There were other factors, but none of them nor the previous ones described what Desmond was feeling.
