To have any semblance of prestige or validity, alchemy tournaments such as the one organized by the Maiden of Eternal War Sect tended to have a fairly reputable panel of judges. From old alchemists who had been in the trade for several decades to super-geniuses who had risen to the top in less than a decade, anything was possible, as long as they had enough reputation and achievements to back up their role as judges.
As expected, this alchemy tournament was no different. The four judges, three men, and one woman were alchemists of great prestige and reputation whose opinions carried considerable weight.
As true experts in their field, the judges were impartial in their judging, so things like appearances, background, or even presentation held little relevance to them. The judges even had a bad first impression of Sasha on the subject. In the opinion of the judges, while quite amazing and visually appealing, Sasha's refining technique was a complete abomination.
