Desmond was not a person who was particularly severe with those close to him; that had always been the case. However, there were times when particular distinctions had to be made, and this was one of those times.
"Do not even think about it. Rundert may be a jerk, but he's still the most powerful person in this town. Going after him is no different than seeking your death."
Revna's obsession prevented her from going against Desmond's orders. Still, at the same time, it did not allow her to tolerate people like Rundert, who was obviously targeting Desmond. So, Revna tried to convince Desmond. "That may be true, but I can't let that man become a nuisance to the Master."
What Revna didn't expect was for Desmond's tone to turn stern. "I have said no. We're going to deal with Rundert smartly. Did I make myself clear?"
