"The Unity, through its influence over magic and nature itself, enhanced the powers of the 12 warriors. This dramatically improved their strength, as intended, but it also dropped their lifespan to abysmal numbers.
"But the Warriors didn't care. A reduced life to them only meant that they had less time to rid Zodia of the Reapers than before. So they jumped into action immediately, scouring the lands for any signs of the Reapers' whereabouts. The slightest hint was all they needed to sniff out the Reapers, but they could not for the life of them find it.
"Everywhere they looked it was as if the Reapers had never existed. Riots continued; fights broke out more often; sermons regarding the devilish nature of magic were held on a daily basis - but the Reapers' presence remained invisible. And towards the end of the warriors' lives, when all hope seemed lost, the Unity spoke for the first and last time.
