Chapter 30 - Rocky Road

Namara nodded politely at Thris before actually leaving. The man smiled and nodded back. Only then did she catch up with Eros who had gone first.

Eros chose to walk so that Namara could see the state of Pdenderia village more clearly. Last night it was very dark, she could only see the houses faintly.

In the daytime, the atmosphere did not feel scared. Some residents are busy with their daily activities. They were all from the Geus clan, just like Thris.

As far as the journey, Namara did not find anyone from the four major clans. Maybe not many people know about this hidden village.

When Namara and Eros passed by, they all seemed to be dodging. No one dared to look directly. The Geus just stole a timid glance.

This made Namara feel surprised. "Are they afraid of strangers?" Namara asked Eros.

"In the past, the Geus had violent clashes with other humans. They warned their descendants to be careful of strangers," replied Eros.

Namara nodded. Finally, she understood. After leaving the residents' houses, Namara and Eros arrived at a quite lush place. Not far ahead there is two stone monuments side by side like a gate.

Eros walked towards it and Namara followed him. They passed the two stone pillars and the scene that appeared before their eyes immediately changed.

Namara was taken aback by the change in scenery. Now in front of her, there is a vast forest with various sounds of wild animals shouting to each other. This is the wilderness.

She glanced back. It turned out that the entire village of Pdenderia had completely disappeared. If anyone saw her appearance, one might think that she had just come out of empty air.

'Wow, this is amazing,' said Namara in her heart. So this is what Eros meant. The village of Pdenderia did indeed disappear in the daytime. Then what would happen if she tried to enter again?

Namara quickly turned around. She ran to try to enter the village of Pdenderia again. However, the result was nil. Namara's steps continued in the forest without being able to enter the village of Pdenderia.

Eros sighed when he heard Namara running away backward. He turned his head and then looked at Namara like he was looking at an idiot. Even so, he just remained silent without commenting.

"Wow... It disappeared," said Namara who then ran back to Eros. She had just finished her curiosity. So what the man said was not mere gibberish.

Namara looked like a country girl who had just seen the progress of the city. Eros felt that way. He shook his head and pulled Namara closer. "Hold on tight," he said.

Namara's gaze changed slightly. The look in her eyes seemed to say, 'Are you underestimating me? Why are you talking as if I've never flown with you?'

She held onto the hem of Eros' shirt and in that instant, her vision turned blurry. She closed her eyes and shouted. Oh God, how can Eros fly that fast?!

"Stop shouting! You make my ears hurt," Eros scolded in his cold voice.

Namara immediately covered her mouth. Now the handle had moved to Eros's arm. No wonder the man told her to hold on tight, it turned out he was going to speed up.

"Could… slow down a bit? Sir, you don't respect a weakling like me," said Namara quietly. Under such circumstances, she did not think about Eros' cruelty.

Eros didn't say anything. He accelerated his flight. Its black wings flapped faster. Namara could only curse in her heart. Let's see later, she will repay all of this.

This journey takes quite a long time. This only meant that the location of the place called Selshi was indeed far away. Namara became even more curious. What kind of place is Selshi?

After leaving the vast wilderness, they passed along a river on the edge of which there was a small village. Eros continued until they passed the vast, very blue ocean.

Namara looked down in amazement. It is a very beautiful landscape. How many things in this world did she not know? If given the opportunity then she wants to know the world more broadly.

After passing through the vast sea, Namara could see the vast green land. Then Eros started descending to land there.

"Is this Selshi?" asked Namara.

"Mm." Eros nodded.

Namara immediately broke away from Eros. She glanced around. The place felt lonely and unfamiliar. No wild animal noises. Only occasionally heard the sound of birds chirping.

Even for Namara who was only a human the air there already felt abnormal to her. It felt like something was missing from its place. However, she didn't know what it was.

Eros rushed forward. The situation felt a little strange and he wanted to investigate immediately. His image flashed quickly making Namara feel overwhelmed.

"He left me," Namara grumbled. She saw a small path made of neatly arranged stones. The road was getting old and overgrown with weeds. It must be the road of Selshi residents.

Namara ran quickly after Eros. However, still she couldn't catch up. Luckily the place wasn't that scary so she didn't feel uneasy even after Eros had left.

After going further, Namara could see houses that numbered no more than ten. The houses were overgrown with moss and weeds. Of course, the house had not been used for a long time.

"Ah, this seems quite a historic place," she muttered.

She continued to walk along the small path. The sun's rays penetrated the leaves and sometimes fall on her body which was constantly moving. Her gaze kept wandering around so she paid less attention to her steps.

Her feet accidentally tripped over a rock and her body fell to the ground. Her knee hit the rocky road causing blisters that were quite painful.

"Damn it!" cursed Namara. She kicked a fairly large rock which she believed was the cause of her fall.

"The other stones are small. Why are you different in size?" she grumbled.

The stone that had just been kicked immediately rolled into the grass. Namara didn't notice that anymore. She immediately got up and rubbed her knees briefly. Luckily no blood came out.

After that, she immediately ran after Eros. Don't let the guy get mad because she's so slow.

What Namara didn't know was that something had happened to the rock she had just kicked. The stone the size of a human head suddenly shook several times. Green smoke-shrouded it.

Not long after that the rock suddenly floated up into the air. A loud laugh rang out from the thing. "Someone has come! Someone has come!" it shouted as it dashed off somewhere.
