The Geography teacher left and Anabelle came to me hoping we'll have some fun outside but she was surprised when she saw me reading my Geography textbook 'What are you doing?' she asked ' I'm reading' I answered her with a smile 'I know you are reading but why Geography?' she asked again looking befuddled.
I ignored her question because I know she won't believe whatever I say, I just looked at her with a smile so that my expression will not give me away.
The bell rang and Anabelle walked up to me and said 'It's lunchtime, let's go and eat in the school cafeteria, I'm totally famished' 'Alright then' I said as we smiled to each other and went. As we were about to come out of the classroom,A cute looking guy bumped into me, he's not as cute as Jason anyway 'Ouch!!' I cried out ' I'm sorry,I hope I didn't hurt you' he asked solemnly 'You absolutely did' I said with my face quite white with fury 'But it's alright' I said with a smile,he smiled too and I fell in love with his smile 'he is just like a gentleman every girl would wish for but it's a pity,I'm already in love with someone else' I thought as I tried not to fall for him ' I'm Justin and you?' he asked blurtly stretching out his hand ' I'm Mandy' I replied as we shook hands, I smiled and I went my way with Anabelle.
On the way, Anabelle kept smiling to herself 'What's wrong,why do you keep smiling?' I asked curiously ' Seems you have an admirer,I looked back when we left Justin,he kept looking at you as we were going,he also refused to let his friend touch the hand he shook with you'.
I never knew Anabelle was such a fast talker but I didn't reply,I just chuckled.
When we got to the cafeteria,we got succulent Hamburger and Soda,I saw Jason and his two friends Anthony and Ricky as we sat down to eat,I noticed Jason also got the same thing ' whoa,so Jason likes hamburger too' I thought with a grin not knowing that Justin has already stood in front of me,I was startled when I saw him 'Ladies, mind if my friend and I join your table?' 'We don't mind' Anabelle replied with her signalled eyes at me.
Justin and his friend sat,his friend looked at me and said ' Hi,I'm Nick, Justin's buddy' ' I'm Mandy, nice meeting you' I replied with a smile 'We've met earlier,when Justin bumped into you' he explained 'Oh, really?!,I didn't notice' I replied 'You have such beautiful eyes' Nick commented as he looked at my eyes 'Thanks' I said blushing secretively to myself.
Anabelle kept admiring Nick although she wasn't aware that I have noticed ' Seems she's crushing on Nick, I'll ask her later' I thought as I took my soda to open, Justin collected it and opened it for me while smiling ' Thanks' I said as I smiled and collected the soda from him ' My pleasure, Bonnie' he smiled back 'Why is this guy acting this way' I thought as I ate in silence ' well, that's none of my business' I concluded as I looked at Jason's direction.
The bell rang and we all went back to class, our class teacher,Mrs Benning came and told us 'Your science teacher is not around, she's got an upset stomach and she's in the hospital so I'll suggest you read your books till the closing bell rings' she said frankly 'That's so sad' I muttered to myself.
The students also looked forlorn but one after the other,they all brought their books out and started reading 'Very good' Mrs Benning said and left ' Which book am I going to read now' I thought ruminating so that I'll remove the book I pretended I was reading when Mrs Benning was here 'Geography' my subconscious reminded me ' Oh yeah, that's true' I whispered to myself as I brought it out and started reading.
I got to a particular topic I don't understand so I decided to turn to Anabelle for help ' Anabelle,help me with this' I said as I turned my chair and sat opposite her. Anabelle was busy looking at Nick's direction, greatly admiring him as he was talking to Justin.
I called Anabelle twice but she didn't hear me so I had to bang the table with my books before she could finally hear me 'Anabelle!!!' I cried out, she was startled as she looked at me 'Since when have you been seating here?' she asked looking guilty ' You've been looking at this guy since, even we went to the school cafeteria,is that your crush?' I asked with a grin ' No, he's not' she snapped. I kept staring at her so she had no choice but to tell me ' Yeah,I'm crushing on him' she replied curtly ' Since when?' I asked with a giggle ' Since the day I was rejected by that cold-blooded, narcissist bookworm,he consoled me and gave me an handkerchief,see?!' she said as she showed me an handkerchief with Nick's name embroidered on it 'Wow,all this time and I never knew?,is that why you kept looking back after I met Justin?' I asked looking dismay 'Urg,I'm sorry then' she grunted,I smiled as I patted her little head ' It's okay' I assured her with a smile 'Anabelle is such a blatant girl,she even told me her secrets, she's unlike me but how can I tell her that I was already in love with that cold-blooded narcissist Jason even before we became friends, it's just not possible' I thought sadly. ' okay,this was why I needed your attention' I said pointing to the topic I was having difficulties in ' I'm not an expert in this field, Jason is but I won't advice you to go to him,you can go and meet Justin instead, he's a genius in Geography, he's also nice, unlike someone' she said with a frown as she looked at Jason's direction.
I was greatly disappointed ' Why not Jason,it would have been nice if he was the one' I thought sadly to myself 'Alright then, I'll go after the closing bell rings' I said to Anabelle as I smiled and turned my chair back to my seat.
Not long after,the closing bell rang 'Atlas' I said happily to myself. The sound of the closing bell of Edinburgh High School is just like a bell of freedom,I was happily arranging my books in my backpack when a letter fell off from the middle page of my Geography textbook,it does not have a name so I just opened it and read
"Since the first day I

' Whaatt?!' my heart sank when I read it 'Who wrote this letter' I thought looking at everyone carefully in the classroom then I stopped when I got to Jason,he was also packing his backpack as he was talking to Tony and Ricky 'Jason?!' I thought for a moment 'Why did he make it anonymous then?,is he shy or what?' I muttered happily to myself 'So all my efforts on him was not in vain, Jason likes me too' I was so happy to I could scream out to everyone that the most handsome guy in this class likes me.
Then I suddenly stopped and thought for a moment 'Anabelle told me Jason does not like mediocrities,he has not even looked at me in the eyes before so he can never write this' I thought to myself with great shriek ' Who wrote it then?' I retorted to my thoughts ' If it's not Jason,then who wrote this Anonymous letter?'
