faes woke up feeling ache in her whole body. she groaned and rolled over as she tried to make sense of where she was and what had happened.
elijah appeared in her vision offering her support and then made her drink a glass of water. faes blinked her eyes to clear her vision and glanced around.
she was in mystic fog castle. faes relaxed as she tried remembering what had happened.

she and alex had gotten to the border town where she encountered shiva and the magic general. the kingdom of altai had two generals, one shiva who was the melee general incharge of melee combact and a magic general who was incharge of magic combact.
adele sylvie the magic general had been interested in her powers and was curious hence they had a decided to have a spar.
as adele went to prepare for the spar faes had a talk with shiva regarding the school of lore. shiva had only spoken that it was a great place to train oneself and to stay careful and alert at all times.
faes have already heard it from others hence she simply dismissed his caution and proceded for the spar.
adele could control all four elements -fire, water, air and earth. but she focused mainly on fire and air.
faes had no trouble keeping up with adele while not using her powers to full as her compensation could not be activated when faes felt a weird resonance in the surrounding. it felt weird and almost made her get hurt when her magic went out of control and called upon the compensation as a result of her levelling up accidentally.
this time it was air trial. faes had quickly teleported everyone away from herself before the trial stuck.
as she was caught offguard the trial managed to get to her and after experiencing thousands of wind blades cutting her into pieces hundreds of time, she began to feel light.
faes experienced what it was to be like wind, it can move freely and also be as sharp as a knife. it's sharpness originating from its speed that can't be perceived till last moment.
faes moved her body along with the wind blades letting them carry her to their rhythm instead of retaliating. her body levelled up in comprehension of air dao.
her body was broken down into countless particles by the air before being recreated by air magic particles just like before. a pure air body.
but it was just as painful as being burnt to nothingness. hence faes had lost consciousness after finishing the trial and entering mystic fog castle.

faes glanced at elijah and others who were glancing at her weak form in worry.
"your highness, you are too light? and why is your body turning translucent occasionally?" grey asked
faes took a deep breath before explaining that she just went through another trial and her compensation.
she forgot all about the weird resonance, as if it wasn't there in the first place.
after assuring everyone faes did not bother with her condition. wearing a dress that covered her up completely including a mask she left the mystic fog castle and met with shiva and adele again.
"are you fine your highness?" adele asked concerned. she just witnessed a legendary phenomenon and it was horrifying. she was not prepared mentally to even see it much less experience it to level up.
"it is common for me, I guess. nothing to worry about." faes dismissed her
not in the mood to discuss about her compensation but shiva had already understood it.
"it is compensation?" he whispered to which faes nodded in reply.
shiva narrowed his eyes in fear as he observed faes again.
"then don't try to use your powers again. the more you use them the more the compensation would take over and the more weak you would grow. you have to be strong to survive in the school of lore" shiva suggested
"I will be careful" faes agreed. she barely had a solid body currently much less power to fight.
after having another talk with shiva and adele faes and alex took a plane for reptiliance where they met with the royal family.
faes was welcomed as if she was returning home (and she was in a way). sky, blake adrian and others all welcomed her. even miss rose was present in the castle.
"I see I helped you a lot?" faes teased blake who later took revenge by giving her his own share of royal paperwork.
faes spent her time in reptiliance finishing her remaining royal duties before Blake and sky joined them for the journey to continue on the school of lore.

as both faes and sky wanted to see the world they decided to continue on foot going through elfrida kingdom.
they even encountered the desert area again at the border of reptiliance and faes remembered the camel. hence she decided to hunt for one in her wish to eat camel meat.
she forgot that her compensation was acting up and had to go through another trial of earth.
thankfully her normal body returned after the trial and was now solid and strong.
and faes also got to know a good thing. her compensation had calmed down a little, and she barely had any exp to level up currently. meaning she was fine until she don't use her powers!
as they continued walking they finally entered the elfrida kingdom- a kingdom filled with forests and spirits. faes and sky met each other's glowing eyes as they hungrily began collecting rare herbs, plants trees and spirits into mystic fog castle.
they even wanted to hunt some spirits but they were warned by blake and alex that it was no hunt area.
hence they could only store the spirits into mystic fog castle and not 'hunt' them.
