faes was silent as she sat hearing the whole plan and details of the infiltration. the meeting has ended after the discussion. the school enrollment would begin in few months so she had time to prepare.
faes also found out who else would enroll in this school and was pleasantly surprised to find all her friends there.
cleo, bella, alison, leo and even lucas and asuna would be there.
blake, sky, and alex would go there as well representing their kingdom.
"father could you find a magic teacher for sky and me?" faes asked once others have left the meeting room taking augustus by surprise.
"magic teacher? are you sure?"
faes nodded when augustus fell into thought staring at her
"ira britannica, former duchess of the capital city of vietra. but you have to pass her test first" augustus spoke after a while to which faes accepted.
"then we will go take the entry test in a few days, please do not inform her of our real identities" faes reminded augustus once again as she left.
she had many things to do. but first faes was going to train her side business. as she prohibited sky from doing anything she have to take care of the pill and weapons refinement.
good thing she was unable to go all out in cultivation thanks to her compensation. she can focus more on training her extra skills.
for the next few days faes spent working together with her guards to build the castle again, and redistribute the servants jobs. she even requited more servants and guards, personally selected by herself.
faes allowed nia and sky to buy furnishing and decorations for the castle, though not without giving them directions on what, whuch and how much to buy, while she spent her time refining pills and weapons for natures blessing. she even bought some rare materials required for crafting.
spending her time without cultivating was more busy than her time spent cultivating.
after few days faes had her own brand new castle and new personal servants, and she was ready for taking the test for magic training.
standing in front of a simple looking magic shop faes doubted if this was really lady ira britannica's place. the place seemed haunted, dark and old. nothing like a place belonging to the former duchess of vietra.
still faes took a deep breath and entered the place along with sky.
"welcome, how can i help you with?" a lady in her fifties sat behind the counter as she glanced at the two of them.
"greetings lady ira britannica the former duchess. i am aster and this is my sister mani. we are here to give the test to be your magic apprentice and learn more about magic" faes spoke as they bowed. faes was still wearing her mask while sky was wearing her bandana. they could be recognized easily if others have met them but not with her altering the space around them to obstruct the vision of others.
it was a passive skill she got after doing it for a long time. if one isn't focused enough they wouldn't be able to see their features clearly.
"very well" lady ira didn't waste any time and took out a big box containing tiny colourful marbles.
"first test is to check your affinity, each marble represent an element or skill just put a little of your mana into the marbles and if you are afiinated then they will shine" ira explained.
it seemed easy enough. sky went first, she injected her mana into the tiny marbles and her eyes sparkled when they began glowing. showing how many afiinities she have. easily shocking lady ira.
when she was done faes went up to the desk and placed her hand above the marbles grinning at lady ira
she merely injected her mana and lit the marbles. shocking lady ira again.
"how can you have soo many affinities? who are you?" ira asked but faes merely shook her head
"we have already introduced ourselves milady"
ira stared at faes deep in thought before accepting their introduction.
"for the next level of the test, find the most powerful magic tool in this place.
the hint is that it is void of magic" ira spoke and then went back to her chair continuing to read her book.
"most powerful magic tool that is void of magic?" faes and sky exchanged glances before observing the place.
the place was filled with many magic tools. various wands, crystal balls, books and other items were filling the whole space up.
it looked more like a witch's potion lab turned library if anyone asked faes.
"void magic?" sky spoke making faes wonder if it was possible.
"but void is lack of space, so it should come under space magic?" faes replied searching for items related to void and space.
"but all of them contain some kind of magic" sky rejected all of the items they found.
"maybe items that don't have magic should hold a clue" faes suggested as they proceeded to search items without magic.
after searching for about an hour they both have found some items and gathered them together.
"so we have a nameless book, a large crystal, a ring and a weird stone?" sky listed their hunt
"the large crystal is a mana storage crystal that is empty, it is like a void that can store magic power but it isn't the most powerful."
"the ring is just a simple. ring that is made of a metal that repels magic so it shouldn't be it either."
"the weird stone and the nameless book? which one do you think it can be?" faes asked sky who shook her head.
"that stone seems weird but it doesn't seem powerful to me. doesn't a book contain all the knowledge? it also doesn't have magic but it can have a spell written for the most powerful magic?" sky suggested reading the book and faes couldn't agree more.
ira observed the two girls conversing and her lips curved. her test was actually simple one just needed to find the item, many before have found it but the most difficult part was the last part of her test that no one had passed yet.
"it's empty!" faes and sky exclaimed.
faes was trying to fight fair but she really couldn't find anymore clue. the book was empty without any spell hence it also couldn't be powerful. faes even tried injecting her mana into it but it was simply repelled.
"to hell with it, mi scan all the items here" faes ordered the floating squirell around her and it immediately hopped around in joy.
[yes host.
scanning]
at the moment sky suddenly picked the book again observing it closely.
"sister aster, doesn't this book seem fimiliar?"
faes frowned taking the book from sky and indeed it seem fimiliar. but where had she seen this book before?
they have read and seen so many books that she had problems remembering where she read them.
