faes and shiva entered the courtroom. they were followed by their personal aide.
faes had elijah and gray behind her walking in majestically wearing a formal uniform.
although they had hidden their race and aura they still gave everyone pressure.
as for faes she wore a grey shirt and pants with a red cape and ofcourse her mask.
shiva was also wearing his formal uniform.
these two looked just as majestic as the royal family who was also dressed modestly due to being supressed and being guilty.
faes and shiva walked to the front and bowed lightly.
"greetings to the royal family, may god bless the Kingdom and its future"
shiva and faes greeted.
there were murmurs all around but faes merely ignored them and enjoyed the play.
"commander shiva, if i may ask. why did you appear later than the royal family? not to mention dressed in that manner?"
alicia asked. although she was nervous and confused regarding faes and her plan she couldn't help but ask why shiva accepted breaking the rules.
"answering your majesty, my disciple lady aster thought it was cool to be fashionably late and we should look good for such an important occasion." shiva spoke nervously but stadily.
he was disrespecting the royal family but it was one of the royal's order. he was torn between the political drama and was nervous as hell. still he would support faes no matter what. hence he decided to play along her plot.
"commander shiva! how dare you disrespect the crown?" duke arnoult roe from royal faction spoke angrily making shiva even more nervous.
faes knew shiva was nervous and hence didn't wait for him to break down under pressure, she turned to the noble and smiled
"weren't all the nobles doing that? i heard some even schemed against them to bring them down" faes spoke smiling but her words shut the murmurs. all the nobles whether from royal faction or the noble faction all looked down guiltily, they were indeed doing that.
the king and queen relaxed. faes was just trying to deal with the nobles, and it seem effective.
"take your seats, let the court begin" augustus ordered. shiva and faes bowed their heads as they went to the side. faes took a glance at the empty throne that belonged to her but ignored it for the time being.
"your majesty, first we would like to apologize for our offence. but the crown prince have commited a grave offence towards the citizens of kingdom altai" duke warren spoke. he belonged to the royal faction and was deemed their representative for this session.
"for that the crown prince have given a public apology and is going to be punished accordingly" duke roe spoke not wanting the crown prince to suffer. he had changed a little. after last incident but it wasn't as visible as they would like it to be afterall it was just recently that the incident happened!
he just apologized that morning!
"yes but we wouldn't know if those incidents would be repeated in the future." duke warren turned to the throne focusing on king augustus as he continued.
"how is the royal family going to assure the citizens that the crown prince won't hurt the common citizens anymore? would he still continue to dictate the weak again? secretly or openly as in the past?"
alex looked away clentching his jaw. he was guilty and he had accepted that but hearing the accusations was not easy just yet.
[and why were they talking as if he was not even here?]
"the crown prince will work on changing his ways of life. whether he will change or not, you can see for yourself in the future" augustus spoke not wavering. he was completely supportive of his children and knew what they would do in the future.
"but not only that, princess nia had been kidnapped by the bandits. we wanted to know if she was alright" duchess elone relish spoke grinning as she glanced at nia who looked down.
"we heard the bandits were like dogs in heat. they didn't even spare children. it must have been a horrible experience"
she was clearly hinting at princess nia being impure.
despite being innocent and righteous nia was feeling shamed. the trauma. had healed all this time under aster's presence but being called out like that merely humiliated her and her family.
"are you trying to start a rumor here? princess nia was not touched by any of those scums!" queen alicia glared at the slutty duchess who elegantly shrugged.
"i was merely asking if princess nia was alright after seeing that heinous sight" elone grinned as she watched the royal family frown in anger.
"also we have not heard anything about princess faes. there is a rumor that princess faes ran away from home and died. afterall it is common knowledge that her highness couldn't cultivate or use magic" duke warren grinned pointing out the empty throne.
augustus glanced at the throne. he was going to deny the accusations when a yawn was heard.
everyone turned towards the origin of the yawn and noticed faes who was covering her mouth with her hand.
"oh, sorry for the interruption, the debate felt so lame and boring that i began to feel sleepy" faes smiled as she glanced towards her father
"i apologize for the offence. but i have one question"
augustus wanted to laugh but he noticed the gleam of anger in faes eyes hence he nodded asking her to continue.
"i thought this court session was called to solve the case of the crown prince being manipulated. instead why are you discussing the personal life of a royal princess? i mean if she had ran away or as you said died wont the royal family know better? why would they hide such an important news? either they would send the army to search for the princess or have already announced her death?" faes asked turning to the nobles
"they merely want to hide the fact that they aren't strong. there is even a royal who can't cultivate!" an elderly noble stood up answering her question
"oh and how do you know that princess can't cultivate? have she said it herself or the royal family made an official statement?"
