after faes and sky ate some snacks they left the sea point city towards village farcas which was near the battalion. faes and sky also contacted blake and king ladon and told them about their destination on the way.
her father king augustus had sent a map of kingdom altai along with information on its hierarchy and nobles around particular areas.
kingdom altai was divided into six dukedoms one of which included the royal capital known as vietra. these dukedoms consists of six major cities ruled over by the duke's and duchesses. two of the dukedoms were coastal areas one was sea point where faes currently was. it was on the southern side of the kingdom while other was on western side coast known as oymyakon. these two regions were ruled by duke arison albrecht (sea point) and duke warren irvine (oymyakon).
other three dukedoms that were ruled by duke arnoult roe (dukewater), duke bradford villin (nevada) and duchess elone relish (minesota) were present on northern and eastern borders neighbouring various kingdoms on continent eurasia. with the last dukedom currently ruled by duke astor wemilton that also held royal capital city vietra.
village farcas was at the border of two dukedoms vietra and sea point and also held one of the best and strongest battalions in kingdom altai, along with best weponary in kingdom altai after the capital city. currently the village was under rule of baron Michel lawson and held the white tiger battalion lead by battalion leader Albert mitchen and was currently training ground for lord shiva rudra's personal army knights.
in altai there were two commanders of army one commanded melee knight while other commanded mages. melee commander of kingdom was lord shiva rudra and magical class commander was lady adele sylvie. both of them worked under the king which held complete command over the kingdom.
lord shiva rudra was someone who mostly kept a low profile and many didn't even knew what he looked like hence he could easily go around the kingdom as he pleases just like now. currently other than battalion leader albert mitchen and few other high ranking people no one knew that lord shiva was in village farcas finding a disciple and heir. even faes only got to know this because her father was the king!~
as for the distance between sea point village and village farcas if she decided to continue the journey on foot it will take few days for her and sky hence she decided to use one of the teleportation arrays in sea point city teleporting directly to village farcas. they would have taken a bus train or other transport service but faes was tired after the spar hence they decided to teleport even if its cost was high.
sea point city was like a minor city back on earth with tall buildings and all kind of high level tech. while after they teleported to village farcas faes concluded that the village was developed enough to become a major town on earth if not for its low population and resources.
mind you the population did not include the battalion army! which was around 4000 currently, as lord shiva was training his core knights numbering 1000 in white tiger battalion present near the village in the forest
village farcas held more blacksmiths and foragers than other subclasses; despite its low population the quality of these blacksmiths and foragers were high. even finding master ranked ones was not difficult.
faes was even tempted to get her weapons repaired and upgraded but she held her temptation. first she needed to find lord shiva and become his disciple; after that she would have enough time to get her weapons upgraded.
hence taking sky with her faes made her way to the battalion which was situated slightly away from the village into the forest area. faes and sky were stopped on the entrance of the battalion by the knight guards
"little kids its not a place to play go back to the village and play there" the knight guard said after observing the two girls. though the guard found faes and sky beautiful he couldn't sense any signs of cultivation on them he can't even tell their races much less anything else. hence he concluded that they were lost while playing;
"you two seem so cute and beautiful, your parents will worry if you don't come back home on time. see if you follow that way you will get back to the village farcas; if you cant find your way i can escort you back safely" the guard offered but faes only replied with a blank face.
'did he not notice her coming from the direction of the village?' faes didn't know if she should laugh or cry at the guard's misunderstanding while sky had began giggling near her making her sigh.
"thank you sir knight but we are not lost. my father sent me here to apply to join the battalion and become a knight" faes replied shocking the knight.
the knight knew that human kids usually awakened their powers around the age of 5 to 9 and began training but they usually stayed with their families or masters as they were of low cultivation around that time. as for the girl in front of him he had noticed, she looked around thirteen years old but was younger and another one was barely around five years old; why would their families send them to a place such as a battalion to train? were her parents too poor and weak to even find proper tutors for the two beautiful girls? the soldier began to pity faes and sky as he suddenly had an urge to protect them.
even the geniuses joined a battalion or knight order after their coming of age or if they are prodigies they join these places around the age of 11 to 13. but the girls in front of him clearly didn't have any cultivation or even weapons!
the knight guard was in an awkward situation as he considered his options about what to do with the two girls. while he was racking his brain they heard constant footsteps arriving towards them. turning to the sound they found a team of around twenty knights jogging towards the entrance. at the front were two bulk figures that emitted pressure enough to make the knights obediently follow them.
the guard knight straightened himself and saluted the upcoming peoples.
"halt!" the leader ordered stopping the group as he arrived in front of the guard knight and the two girls along with another person who was in the lead.
"what's the matter? what are these two little one's doing here?" the leader asked the knight guard who was talking with faes making him sweat instantly under the stern gaze
but despite the pressure, the guard stood straight and answered
"sir! these girls say that they are here to apply to join the battalion under their father's orders" the knight guard didn't say any worthless things and directly told the problem to the leader explaining why faes and sky were here.
meanwhile faes had scanned these two people. turns out that the leader was battalion leader sir albert mitchen while the man along with him was the commander lord shiva rudra! while sir albert mitchen was at noble establishment stage cultivation lord shiva rudra was at elemental strengthening stage 2!
"here to apply to join the battalion?" albert mitchen turned to faes and sky observing them but no matter how he saw the two girls didn't have any cultivation. they were beautiful no doubt but their thin bodies didn't seem to hold much strength.
"what is your name?" albert asked in a slightly softer voice than that he used against the knights
"faes and this is my sister sky" faes replied nodding wile sky too nodded smiling softly making albert become softer.
"ms faes and ms sky do you know the conditions to apply to join a battalion?" albert asked. different from the knight, he was more mature and knew that if the girls wanted to join they might be hiding some secret or their cultivation. he was a noble and was aware that there were lots of rare tools that can hide one's strength.
"yes! to join a battalion the applicant have to be able to cultivate and have some decent skills. other than that they would have to pass a test to join a battalion only after clearing the test with the required grade will they be able to join the forces" faes replied nodding.
"good! do you know who i am?" albert asked satisfied with the reply. he wanted to test the girl right here and now and get done with it. though he doubted the girls knew who he was but to his astonishment faes nodded
"yes! you are sir albert mitchen the battalion leader. cultivation stage is noble establishment stage 3 and have affinity to air element. you use two short swords as a weapon."
the knights which were standing near them clearly heard faes and albert talk. they were already astonished with faes and her ability to stand unaffected under the pressure the two leaders were emitting while their talk was more interesting! the girl even gave a complete biodata of their battalion leader which should be a piece of confidential information from normal people.
