around afternoon their ship arrived at the port city of kingdom altai known as sea point city. the whole time faes and sky talked with lucas, belle and cleo they came to know each other better, though the three didn't know much about faes and sky they had became friends in such a short time, even adding each others contacts.
while faes had also focused on her mission, she had managed to bring the two far enough to not fight given moments notice; though they still weren't best of friends.
after arriving at the city lucas took the four girls to the city's fighting arena for their spar, renting an advanced arena with the most privacy.
"nice place" belle exclaimed as they checked the place and got ready for the spar.
"indeed" faes agreed. the place had a huge arena in the middle while around ten people can stand around the arena. there was even a magic array in the room to keep the sound and mana from leaking outside while also keeping the place safe;
"lets begin then" cleo spoke as she entered the arena followed by faes
"sister faes careful not to kill her accidentally!" sky reminded from lucas shoulders. as the arena was slightly raised from ground level sky was unable to see clearly due to her small frame hence lucas had her sit on his shoulders; it had unexpectedly made lucas happy that sky liked him enough to trust him; but the little one had a sharp tongue that even placed him at a disadvatage
"thanks for the remainder" faes smiled at sky, she actually found it weird that sky thought she would kill cleo but when she turned to the princess and thought about how to fight her she realized, 'i really have to be careful not to kill her'
faes thoughts were revolving around the weak spots of cleo that she noticed and saw that if she attacked using her all then cleo might really die accidentally.
"the rules are simple- when either one passes out, went out of the arena or surrenders the match ends" lucas stated before belle spoke
"lets begin on three... two... one ...begin" belle signaled the begin of the duel as cleo dashed towards faes at astonishing speed her fist ready to attack.
'so fast!' cleo even left afterimages behind her after that charge, faes smiled excited as she dodged the attacks cleo was directing towards her easily.
cleo saw that her attacks were not fast enough hence she used qi in her feet and fist before began to execute various martial arts moves.
when faes noticed cleo using martial arts moves she paused. though her swordmanship was at advanced rank she was still an intermediate ranked martial artist. her skills were really not enough for her cultivation! faes again thought about developing her skills rather than levelling up currently.
"gotcha!" cleo smiled when she found an opportunity to hit faes when she paused and executed a spin kick inhancing her speed and strength using qi but before she made contact with faes she found her leg pause;
faes had reacted because of her heightened senses . in real she had activated her skill zin which created a domain around her; making her sense everything in ten meters radius. she had then used fire element to enhance her hands and caught cleo's leg stopping her attack easily. now that she had caught cleo faes smiled again; 'so what if her martial arts wasn't high leveled enough she had her other skills she could use'
but before she can do anything cleo freed herself and leaped backward putting enough distance between them.
cleo had noticed that faes didn't have much knowledge on martial arts but her reaction speed and strength was higher than hers. even after using her qi she wasn't able to hurt the girl but this only excited cleo. she began to attack faes using various advanced martial arts moved she had learnt but even that wasn't enough to land an attack on faes
faes used zin to perceive the attack and then block or dodge them using fire or her own speed. in the end they continued to fight at a standstill with faes using auzi to learn various advanced martial arts moves and trying to copy them. after an hour cleo distanced them again panting while faes was still standing as if she didn't just spar her for an hour continuously.
their strength and speed were clearly on different stages! cleo sighed shaking her head as she surrendered.
"you win; i cant hurt you neither gain any advantage. and you are clearly holding back even then; i surrender but next time we fight i will win for sure" cleo smiled at faes who smiled back
"thanks for sparring with me, i learnt many things from that fight"
with the two girls spar they felt respect for each other. but after cleo left the arena lucas stepped forward towards her.
"ms cleopatra can you hold sky while i spar with faes? thank you" without waiting for cleo to reply he passed sky in her hands and jumped in the arena leaving cleo dumbfounded.
"sister cleo you are not angry with brother lucas?" sky asked cleo who shook her head and stood beside belle with sky in her arms.
"he is going to spar and why would i be angry about holding a cute baby like you?" cleo replied smiling
"but he could have told sister belle to hold me not you who have just left the arena after sparing and are tired"
belle who heard sky giggled at the expression both cleo and lucas made while faes watched amused. 'looks like her quest will finish itself without her aid'
"you are right! i should be angry" cleo turned serious glaring at lucas who smiled innocently in return
"that's the spirit! continue on and i can see you both fight!" sky cheered making faes and belle laugh out loud.
