a middle aged looking man who was also a human appeared in front of leo and faes emerging from the alchemy room. he was martin more a master alchemist working for the natures blessing company. he only joined the company because of its resources for his research and wasn't much interested in the company itself.
after all this time he was almost finished with his research and now the company wasn't able to give him much help hence he was thinking of joining another well established company that are offering him a higher benefit.
hence when the owner called him he decided to talk. if the owner decides to increase the materials and support provided he was willing to work for longer but if not then he was going to leave the company. he can even work without joining any company and earn a fortune but the herbs and other rare materials for his research are not easy to obtain and were costly too.
"why did you call me here? anyways i was going to come to you its better either way" martin said not bothering to give any kind of respect to leo. leo was not only young but he lacked background according to him, there wasn't anything that wanted his respect.
leo's face darkened at the lack of respect but he gritted his teeth and introduced faes to martin
"master more this here is ms faes an alchemist similar to you, ms faes he is our chief alchemist master martin more who is a master alchemist"
martin glanced at faes not giving her much attention. while faes observed martin. she even scanned him.

faes was actually interested in this match. before this she and sky had been making various pills and potions. but they both haven't tested their rank, and most of the things they made was basic ranked because of lack of need, hence she really wanted to know what rank alchemist she and sky were. maybe she should go to alchemist association sometime to get her rank determined after this competition.
"i believe you haven't called me here to introduce me to your friend. i am not taking in any deciples either" martin said arrogantly.
leo shook his head
"ms faes is here for a challenge. she wants to establish a contract with the company and hence we are here to test her strength." leo replied
martin heard leo but was enraged. was he just a foolish nobody who could be used to test a kids who barely have any alchemy knowledge? good! he will show them what a master alchemist was
"are you stupid? you are asking me the chief alchemist in nature's blessing and a master alchemist to test a kid? she doesn't even seem to know what alchemy is much less contending with me" martin sneered at leo ignoring faes who had narrowed her eyes. she had a good impression of leo but for martin, is she could then she will definitely teach him a good lesson.
"that's not what i meant" leo was shocked. he merely wanted to test faes strength but this master alchemist was too much. he was a prince and the owner of this company he deserve respect!
"i was initially thinking that if you offer me some more rare materials i will work for few more years for you but now i want to leave this company with my whole team." martin stated making leo pale. if the master alchemist leave then the company will suffer massive losses.
"lets have a bet, if you win i will give you this piece of the glowing bhrami tree's stem and some other rare plants and herbs, you can also leave but if i win then you will have to apologize to Mr. leonardo and also work under him for five more years alongside your team without asking for more resources outside of your regular necessities. if you want any rare material then you have to purchase it from the company. what do you say?" faes said making leo and martin turn to her shocked.
leo turned paler as he didn't even knew if faes can make a proper pill while the other was a master alchemist. his company was on line!
martin was shocked because this was his first time being challenged like this. but it was also good, with this he was going to show these two brats who the master was and can also leave peacefully with such rare herbs. the glowing bhrami was specially rare!

the alchemist had different level than of cultivators and their pill producing capacity determines the rank they were.
the basic intermediate and advanced apprentice alchemist can only refine basic pills and potions while gathering knowledge. when they can easily refine all kinds of basic pills they are called basic alchemists. similarly when they can create intermediate pills and potions they are an intermediate alchemists. advanced alchemist can refine advance grade pills easily. but till here they can only follow the procedures from books scrolls etc.
master rank alchemist can create new pills and potions after experimenting and these pills and potions were unique to themselves. master alchemists usually hide these recipes only teaching them to their deciples. there pills and potions are all advanced rank and perfect if the said master refine them. if they manage to refine the pill to the grade of epic or legendary they are then promoted to grandmaster rank alchemist.
all pills and potions are divided into various types and ranks but after refining a single pill it can be of any rank. basic, intermediate, advanced, epic, legendary or transcend.
he was already a master rank alchemist. if he refine the golden divine spirit transformation pill then the pill will have a high chance of getting to epic rank while the girl in front of him would be lucky to refine a advanced rank pill.
