while others were busy making their own preparations sky spent her time refining medicinal pills and making recovery potions along with poison resistant potions for everyone.
they were going to fight snakes and these potions were a must!
while sky was busy making potions and pills faes wasn't lazing around either. faes was refining elemental stones. she had only added the four basic elemental stones in her choker till now and had been gathering other elemental stones. though she didn't manage to gather much but she currently had qi stone and lightning stones along with ice crystals
qi stones were normal azure stones while lightning stones looked like a zigzag shape with lightning cracking inside them constantly while ice crystals were like normal stones made out of ice.
after refining and adding them in the choker faes refined more fire and ice stones. the snakes were weak against ice and fire magic hence these stones will help others who cant use ice and fire magic have easier time dealing with the snakes.
after finishing with the stones faes decided to upgrade the system.
'system initiate the upgrade' faes said

[initiating the system upgrade.....
the host will be unable to contact the system for twelve hours functions like scan and inventory will be activated]

with that the system vanished from inside faes leaving her feeling empty inside.
'damn that system didn't told me that it will vanish like this!' faes cursed the system but it had already left. with nothing to do faes continued to refine elemental stones and also helped sky making the potions and pills.

after spending the night in the space everyone geared up for the raid and faes and sky also distributed the pills potions and elemental stones. elemental stones can be used by anyone even if they don't have an affinity with the elements hence they were widely sought after treasures.
after they all were ready they went to the village chief who was going to lead them to the mine's entrance.
"you are here! seeing as you all are helping us villagers we have decided to give these to you, they will help you deal with the snakes faster" the village chief gave a bag to them.
checking the contents faes smiled. the bag contained two healing potions, two mana recovery potions and one mask which makes one immune to any kind of poison for one hour.
"thank you these are really helpful" faes said even though they already have these things and of better quality. not suspecting anything wrong the village chief began to lead them towards the mines.
it took them two hours to get there as they cant show their movement techniques and leave the village chief behind. though faes can use the map function and get to the mines faster she decided to stay in order to save her energy,
and because of her actions the village chief began to have better impression of their group. when they came to the mine's entrance the village chief turned to them
"these are few maps of the mines, though they don't have the positions of the snakes they might help you" the village chief gave them maps of all the five mines.
with the maps their raid was now easier!
as they were observing the maps faes felt a presence inside her and smiled just as few notifications appeared in her sight.

after few notifications the system's voice rang in her ears
[hello host i am back! the great fantasy system known as mi] the system said as a small form appeared in front of her floating in the air. it was a small humanoid boy wearing a white butler's suit. white hair, white wings, a white long fluffy tail, crystal horns and black eyes.
'mi? you have a name?' faes was surprised hearing the system introduce itself. this was the first time the system have told her its name!
[yes host my name is mi the great almighty system!] the humanoid placed his hand on its waist and raised its head high making it look rather cute than almighty. but faes was happy, her narcissistic system was back!
'now that my almighty system you are here do some work for me and scan these maps, marking the beasts locations in them and also make one for me in 3d model containing everything in the surrounding.' faes said making the system nod
[sure host scanning the area....

the system vanished from its place and faes went to delay everyone without them suspecting anything wrong.
soon the reports and new maps were ready and a 3d model of the whole area appeared in front of her showing everything in miniature as it was in real. faes was amazed at this new skill upgrade of inspect.
"according to the description of mines the probability of the beasts appearing should be here" according to the report system gave her she marked the positions of most of the snakes leaving a few weaker ones out just to stay safe.
"lets go then" after faes was done with the maps she let others study them for some time.
"i will be waiting for you at the village centre please return with good news. if you don't arrive in next ten days we will consider you all dead" the village chief said before leaving to go back to the village.
faes and others didn't mind the village chief and proceeded with their plan entering the respective mines they agreed on.
faes and sky entered the biggest mine after drinking the poison resistant potion, not taking any chances.
"baby are you fine with using fire magic while i use ice magic and both of us get rid of these snakes?" faes asked looking around even though she knew exactly where the snakes were.
"yup i am fine with it. i don't like snakes hence i don't want to approach them." sky made a disgusting face.
'snakes are also reptiles and dragons are too! is it because of this the dragons are vary of snakes?' faes suddenly thought of this possibility. even before while fighting with the camel and its summoned snake sky had chosen to fight the snake and have managed to kill it even before they dealt with the camel!
"alright then we will proceed like this" faes agreed as they went deeper.
the light around the entrance was good but as they went deeper the place became darker. its been years since last someone came here hence the lights have not been repaired.
