watching the hill being destroyed everyone sucked a deep breath and turned to stare at faes. all the people below including the cult members and reptiliance army had stopped fighting and were watching faes with shock.
the attack had made them sweat even before getting close to them while faes had only used the qi petals which looked elegant rather than powerful to change its direction and saving all of them. they were all in shock, specially ladon. ladon was also in elemental strengthening stage so he knew the power of that attack but faes being able to do that at noble establishment stage was something that came as a shock to him. even he would have a hard time stopping that attack while faes wasn't even sweating or have any sign that showed that she was tired.
"princess faes you are indeed a genius, fine i will kill you first before playing with others, it seems that you all hid your strength. right your majesty king ladon? if i am correct you are also at elemental strengthening stage" liam asked making everyone turn to the king with wide eyes. they didnt knew that the king was in elemental strengthening stage of cultivation already. doesn't that mean others in royal family also hid their strength?
"yes but arent you too shameless? fighting a noble establishment stage cultivator while being at higher cultivation level and also hiding?" ladon asked with a solemn expression but only a laughter was heard in return
"our princess here had a bet with me. she is the one who wants to fight instead of joining us what do you expect? i was just playing with her to fulfill her final wish" liam said laughing.
"are you done talking because if i were you, i would rather think about how to block this attack" faes said. while liam was talking to the king faes had found the place the voice was coming from using her hearing and had already attacked using the qi petals.
"you wont be able to hurt me in here!" liam snorted but his expression changed when the petals vanished from the sky and appeared in the void he was in and attacked him forcing him to come out of the void with a face filled with shock.
"you! how?" liam was shocked as the petals attacked him but faes didnt give him time to deploy another shield grimoire as she attacked
"qi swords!" faes said as she slashed her sword sending several qi slashes towards liam
"they wont hurt me!" liam smiled watching the qi slashes approach him and used his own sword to block them easily.
"qi petals explosion!" faes gave a light cry. while liam was busy dealing with the sword slashes the petals around him combined to form countless flowers and then flew towards him and exploded.
faes glanced at the explosion and blinked several times. this was the first time she was using this move other than practicing hence she was shocked to see that the explosion was so big that it can easily kill a king establishment stage cultivator without any defenses.
she had used her own space magic to bring liam out of the void but she wasn't sure how that had happened yet but the current explosion was something she knew about but was still shocked.
a shock wave was produced from the explosion of countless flowers and had pushed faes several meters away and forced her to cough a mouthful of blood. this move was something that used most of her mana and barely forty percent of her mana was left while faes also suffered internal injuries from deploying this move forcefully at her current cultivation realm along with the aftershock of the explosion depleting her health bar to sixty percent.
while the cultivators below also experienced the shockwave and were forced to retreat away. some low level cultivators even suffered lethal injuries just from the shock wave.
everyone looked at faes in shock, she was just a noble establishment stage cultivator but she can fight a cultivator with higher cultivation than her. if it was a king establishment stage cultivator then they can accept it but liam was an elemental strengthening stage cultivator! to be able to even injure him is a great defeat while the explosion was not falling out to that red black ball from before.
"you!" liam's voice came from inside the dust cloud and he sounded angry. "i will kill you now. at first i was only thinking of injuring you or forcing you to work for us but now you don't deserve to live anymore!" liam shouted as warning bells went off in faes head.
a red and black ball charged at her in high speed from within the cloud. this time though there were no petals to block or change its trajectory while faes was not far from liam.
everyone below felt their heart leap into their throats as the ball approached faes. it seemed even powerful than before and was faster too leaving a red and black light on its way.
"faes!" nuri and adrian shouted in panic and fear but they were unable to stop the attack.
"you think this princess is easy to kill?" faes smiled as she vanished from her spot shocking everyone again. the red black ball went straight on its path and blasted another hill to ground completely missing faes.
"what? where did she go?" liam looked around just like everyone else but soon found faes in the air hovering in another direction smiling at liam.
faes can only teleport to a little distance hence she can't get away yet using her space magic and only dodge the incoming attack by teleporting in a different direction than its path.
"you can use space magic?" liam asked
"what do you think?" faes replied with another question but there were already countless petals appearing around her this time they were brighter and shinier than before but less in quantity.
"it doesn't matter you will die today!" liam shouted as a grimoire appeared at his side and began glowing with a red light. red and black balls appeared in the air just like those petals and charged at faes at once. faes didnt teleported away this time but only glared at liam. using the qi petals two times was her limit but including the qi petals explosion and space magic her mana was already less than ten percent remaining.
"qi petals explosion" faes murmured as the petals converted into flowers and charged towards the red black balls
"explode!" faes said as they exploded coming into contact of the balls.
another explosion happened but this time it was bigger and much powerful than before as both faes and liam flew dozens of meters away from the shockwave.
the weaker cultivators below knight establishment stage on the ground even died directly while the cultivators below noble establishment stage suffered heavy injuries.
liam was also injured but his injuries were a lot lighter in compared to faes who was now covered in blood. her nose mouth ears and eyes were bleeding along with many burn marks on her body.
"you cant use that again can you? now you are at this seat's mercy!" liam laughed ignoring his injuries after glancing at faes. faes was indeed injured heavily because the explosion occurred much closer to her and the sound light smoke along with the shockwave had heightened effects on her hence increasing her injuries. she can barely hang on her consciousness!
"now this seat will sent you on your way! thanks for the treasures" liam said as he opened another grimoire and it shined in a black glow before a black laser like light emeetted from it charging straight at faes.
