when everyone heard what aiden said they got one thing in their head
'faes is not weak anymore, she have powers' although everyone was happy regarding this news they were also afraid now. if aiden said that faes can kill them like child's play then what and how strong her powers were?
"she unlocked her powers?" alex asked shivering
"heh! she had those powers from the beginning she just didn't told you about them" aiden replied grinning making the royal family of altai feel more guilty. they didn't even knew what powers their daughter and sister had, and she never told them.
"you think she can come to where i am without getting attacked by high level beast or bandits? do you think she can make me accept her as her mentor and make me adopt her?" aiden asked further not caring an ounce about the royal family who didn't treated faes nicely
"she have always been strong but just because she didn't felt loved and was not given trust and respect she never told anyone that she hates pink things! that she have powers stronger than anyone! she didn't told anyone that she is someone who don't care whether someone is with her or not she will always stay fine and get stronger" aiden told them
"royal uncle! forgive me but i think that they got the point" blake said glancing at the royal family of altai who were on verge of tears hearing aiden.
"i am forgiving you because of faes this time and giving you a chance to observe the real faes so that you can treat her how she wants to be treated, though i don't think she cares about any of you anymore" aiden said as he sensed faes exiting her room and glanced towards the stairs
"now stop crying! you want my dear sister to see her family cry on her birthday?" blake asked glaring as the royal family composed themselves.
everyone turned to look at faes who was now downstairs and walked near aiden with a huge smile on her face. as faes came near aiden she held his hand and rubbed her cheek on it.
"i like the gift thank you papa!" faes said still smiling brightly.
others just looked at her stunned! faes wearing knee length white dress with purple gems looked cute and pure innocent child. the circlet and smile on her face gave everyone a feeling to cherish her and protect her at all cost. her black hair was flowing freely and came till her knees while her gray eyes sparkled with excitement.
others were bewitched by her looks and just remained silent watching aiden and faes interact
"baby you always look beautiful and cute but today you are looking even more bewitching" aiden said as he picked faes up in his arms and held her.
faes just blushed as a reply making aiden laugh
"you know that the circlet is special?" aiden asked as he glanced at the silver circlet on faes forehead. it was made of small silver flowers and purple gem which was not an ordinary gem but a qi stone.
"yup i know that they are qi stones and the circlet have powers to save in in case of emergency" faes replied. she had scanned the things aiden gave her. though everything was normal except the circlet which was a protecting item. when someone attack faes sneakily it will create a shield and protect her for an hour. it can even stop attacks of king establishment stage but can only be used once.
"good! but stay careful and don't depend on it to save you" aiden replied
"i wont" faes replied seriously making aiden laugh and pinch her cheek,
"why are you so cute?" aiden asked making faes pout.
"how would i know that?" faes replied.
the others on the side had smiled watching faes and aiden interact. though blake had a happy smile the royal family on the other hand had sad one. faes had never shown much emotions to them and what she had shown were clearly fake.
"alright its about time to cut the cake" blake smiled as he broke everyone out of their world
"cake! what kind of cake it is?" faes asked aiden
"its just a simple chocolate cake as well i am not good at baking and also didn't had much ingredients sorry!" aiden gave a sad smile to faes as he sent his mana and brought out the cake from the kitchen.
it was circular chocolate cake with simple white chocolate decorating it. there was also happy birthday written on it.
"its amazing thank you! i like chocolate!" faes eyes sparkled as her gaze fell on the cake, even her mouth began to water making aiden smile in relief. he didn't knew faes liked chocolate but he made a guess and made it instead of simple vanilla cake. 'all kids like chocolate' aiden smiled and placed faes back down.
"now cut the cake so that you can eat it" aiden smiled and handed her a knife. faes took the knife and glanced a it her eyes teaering up. no one had made a cake for her in her first life and in her second one they were always pink vanilla cake which she didn't liked.
queen alicia watched faes eyes sparkling looking at the cake and lick her lips. she knew with a glance that faes liked chocolate but they never gave her chocolate cakes on her birthday before which made her tear up.
"alright i will cut the cake now" faes said as she cut the cake and everyone sang her a birthday song for her again. faes gave the first piece to aiden as well the was the only one who was truly there with her. aiden also gave her a piece which turned unit twi and then three as faes ate the cake which was beyond delicious.
while everyone laughed amused at faes who had cake on her face now. they were happy that faes enjoyed her birthday cake though they were not there with her.
"well we should go now its late at night and we all need to sleep, again happy birthday dear sister" blake said yawning
"yes we should go to sleep too, you should go back to sleep too faes" queen alicia said
"good night brother blake! good night mother, father, brother alex and sister nia, thank you everyone to join and wish me happy birthday" faes greeted them bowing
"no need to bow to us we are family after all and have sweet dreams" blake said before he ended the call.
"thank you again your majesty for letting us join princess faes birthday party and we will definitely think and better ourselves about what you said. you wont be disappointed in us" king augustus said
"you better otherwise the kingdom of altai-" aiden paused halfway smiling sweetly at the royal family of altai while the faces of ryal family turned pale
"we will remember your majesty" king augustus said bowing with others and ending the call.
faes glanced at aiden thankful to him for everything he had done. he knew about her heightened senses but he didn't knew that she can hear everything they had talked about. faes was glad that she found aiden the first thing after getting transmigrated and glad that the previous faes saved his child.
"thank you!" faes jumped at aiden hugging his neck tightly as tears flew out of her eyes. aiden smiled softly at her holding and patting her head.
"its something worth doing to see that smile you had" aiden said
faes was going to respond when she heard a crack making her eyes go wide
"i think one surprise is remaining for both of us" faes told aiden with a smile on her face.
