faes stared at Aiden as he told her his decision. she was unsure what to feel but she realized one thing that Aiden was right. the fear of losing someone you love is something that she doesn't know as she didn't have anyone to lose them. Aiden had lost his child and faes didn't know anything about his wife but looking at his sad eyes she knew that he was grief-stricken and it hurt her heart.
"Alright, we will tell them that I am safe and will return when I am ready to" faes agreed making Aiden release a breath he was holding. he was relieved that she agreed and now he does not have to face an angry and sad father by himself.
"fine then let's contact your father" Aiden announced and then pressed something in his watch. faes watched as he connected his watch to the tv and then the watch began to call her father. the tv displayed the words 'king of Altai- AUGUSTUS Monesterio' faes was in awe as she watched. the technology was so cool even the quality was better than that of earth.
"greetings to the former kind of Reptiliance your majesty Aiden shadowdragon de reptiliance. how can I be of help for your majesty please order this servant of yours" Augustus monesterio faes father said bowing as he became visible on the tv. he was well built even at his age, his golden eyes and black hair made him look more majestic. 'he was current king of kingdom Altai yet he bowed to Aiden!' fees realized and turned to Aiden who was now expressionless as he faces her father. faes noticed that there were dark circles under her father's eyes and he looked tired as if he didn't had good sleep for months now.
'oh! both my fathers are meeting and one of them doesn't even know that other one is my father' faes found this amusing and let out a giggle making aiden turn to her confused as why faes was suddenly giggling. augustus who was bowing heard the giggle to and his eyes widened. he realized that kind aiden was not alone but he doesn't know who was with him and it sounded like a child giggle.
"raise your head king augustus you are a king too there is no need to bow to me" aiden replied turning back to faes father. it sounded weird that he adapted faes and was now talking to her father when he was her father too now! a smile formed on his face as he glanced at faes who was smiling at him and glancing time to time towards her father. she was not visible to king Augustus but he can hear her.
"your majesty, may I know the reason you contacted my lowly self suddenly?" Augustus asked as he finally glanced at Aiden. he was showing respect and bowing because not only Aiden was the former king of reptiliance the dragon kingdom but he was also a powerful being who can destroy his kingdom with just a snap of his fingers. 'the strong rules the world' was a phrase which described the world of lore correctly.
king augustus was also wary of king aiden as he was missing for more than two years now and not even his family knew where he was. after the queen king aiden's beloved died giving birth (laying eggs) he left the kingdom with his eggs after handing the throne to his younger brother. ever since he vanished he haven't contacted anyone in the outside world but now he suddenly got a call from king aiden himself while he was doing his paperwork. the sudden call scared him to death!
he glanced at king aiden trying to read what was on his mind but all he got was an amused smile making him sweat. 'why was he smiling like that?' king augustus was not sure if he accidentally offended this lord or not.
"I contacted you to inform you that your daughter is safe and will return when she desires" king aiden told as he watched king augustus reaction closely trying to understand him and his relation with faes.
king augustus when heard what king aiden told him was not sure if he heard right. his daughter was safe? how does he know was she with him? 'wait the giggle! it was definitely his daughter who was with king aiden right now' his eyes became teary as he finally got to know about his missing daughter. all this while he was trying to find her, to just know that she was safe and alive but didn't even had a clue about her. now suddenly king aiden one of the most powerful beings in the world contacted him just to inform him that his daughter is safe and will return when she desires. he felt relieved and happy that his child was safe and alive but how did she ended up with king aiden?
"your majesty are you talking about princess faes?" king augustus asked his voice wavering as he tried to control himself from crying
aiden watched him and gave him a sad smile. he knew exactly what king augustus was feeling.
"yes princess faes is with me and not only is safe but healthy and training becoming stronger she will stay with me and after that with my child as her official guardian" king aiden told making king augustus finally crack as few tears rolled out of his eyes.
faes was watching everything from behind aiden and was touched that at least her family was looking for her and cared and loved her so much. she finally understood why aiden did that and was grateful of him now. faes turned to the tv again where her father was crying silently and her eyes also began to tear up. this body was his child after all and was affected by the emotions whether she wanted or not.
"where is she? can I at least see her once your majesty? I will forever be grateful if I can meet her again your majesty please!" king augustus pled kneeling on the ground.
"no need to kneel for such a request she is your daughter you can meet her, talk to her, even scold her for running away from home but I would request you don't scold her as if she haven't ran away I wouldn't have met her and found a guardian for my child." aiden told king augustus and turned to faes. he was both happy and sad as he knew faes was just angry from her family and now that anger has vanished but he also knew that he wasn't her real father.
"baby come and greet your father" aiden intentionally called faes baby as he always called her ever since he adopted her. he wanted to remind her that he was her father too and also to warn king augustus that faes was close to him and not to hurt her ever. "yes papa" faes replied and came out from behind aiden and gave a curtsy to her father who began to cry more as he finally saw his daughter.
"greetings royal father, I hope I haven't caused you many problems and also that you can forgive me for running away," faes said wiping her tears.
king Augustus wiped his tears too as he took in his daughter's appearance. he knew that king Aiden was warning him as to not hurt her but he was also shocked when faes called king aiden papa. he watched as she greeted him. faes was not what she used to be like. insteaed of pink dresses that she wore always faes was currently wearing white shirt and black pants with boots. her always freely flowing hair was now tied in a pony tail with some strands covering her forehead. her eyes that always were confused and demanding were now determined and focused also sharp. he noticed the choker around her neck and also recognized the blood stone right away making him wonder where did she found one and refined it to make a choker.
"how are you? when will you come back? why did you leave? do you know how worried we all were?" king augustus asked faes wanting to know everything that happened in past few months.
"I am fine royal father and I will return when I am powerful enough to face the world on my own. i cant tell you why I left but rest assured when I return I will make everyone pay for what they have done to me. i know you were worried and also royal mother and brother and sister would have been too but don't worry now I will stay safe and return to you soon" faes assured and answered her father. she wasn't going to let anyone go especially those maids who hurt the original faes.
king Augustus was shocked listening to faes. faes used to be polite and cute little princess who would forgive everyone no matter what they did to her but listening to her now he felt that she was serious about making everyone pay. 'what happened that made her change this much?' king Augustus thought
"Why didn't you contacted us when you knew we were worried?" king Augustus asked
"my watch broke down and I haven't gotten it repaired yet, forgive me but I wanted to contact you yet I couldn't" faes decided that she won't tell him about her powers yet.
Aiden who was listening from the side decided that this was enough for today placed his hand over faes head and turned to king augustus
"I have adopted faes as my own child and now she is a princess of reptiliance along with altai, she will be guardian of my child and they will stay together wherever they desire. I contacted you today to inform you that your daughter is safe with me and I will protect her till I die you don't have to worry. if you want you can contact her anytime through me until her watch is repaired and also this all should be kept confidential otherwise you don't want to know what will happen" aiden told king augustus
king augustus was too shocked when he heard that aiden adopted his child and will not only make her his child's guardian but also a princess of kingdom of dragons. he didn't know what to feel about that but he clearly knew that aiden wont hurt faes and also if he told anyone about this meeting he and his kingdom was screwed.
