Rez's consciousness was summoned before a dark throne, a figure sat on the seat. A torch was lit before him dimly revealing the figure on the throne. The figure wore a mask only revealing its eyes, sharp, short, curvy horns and silky long red hair. The figure wore a high-ranking cultivator's uniform with a king's coat draping over the uniform. Hundreds maybe thousands of weapons filled the room all releasing a bloodthirsty aura. Swords, sabres, blades, katanas, spears, nunchucks, and others were all present releasing a thick suffocating intent.
"So you're the one the system chose, how... puny." the Sponsor said in a disgusted tone.
"I'm here to help you as you are bound to have potential even better than mine. But I am only willing to help if you cooperate and heed my instructions. Are we clear?" he said in an authoritative tone releasing a ridiculous amount of strength and making Rez fall to his knees.
"Y-yes," Rez replied trying to fight against the overwhelming pressure.
"So, first things first, you must pass my test, otherwise I'll send you back to your plane," he said waving his hand changing the scenery.
An expansive land of green and mountains and hills at the edge of the skyline suddenly appeared. The sun was about to set giving the scenery a warm orange colour. Rez was surprised by the drastic change in scenery. While he was surprised, the Sponsor began speaking, "This mission consists of four tasks. You may use any method you see fit to complete this mission. The time to complete this mission is three days. Exceeding the time limit is considered a failure. Any outside help is also counted as a failure. The tasks are as follows:
1. There is a bell tied to my uniform, get it from me.
2. Carry a boulder to the top of any mountain in an hour.
3. Kill any living being in the forest and bring me its corpse.
Failure to complete any of these tasks counts as a failure. In any case, if you manage to finish these tasks, I will give you advice on your cultivation path and any item from my storage ring that is below Heavenly rank. Off you go now." the Sponsor said leaving Rez staring blankly at him as he walked away.
