"Millie," all of a sudden, Anna called Millie from behind which made her stop on her way inside the house.
"What?"
"It always doesn't have to be a competition," Anna replied softly.
A few unwanted emotions flicked in Millie's eyes in that darkness of the night.
Is that even possible? They have gone past the stage of coming back, acting like normal siblings. It happened so naturally, comparing themselves with each other, fighting for gaining the most attention from their parents. And the worst part was that Millie played the role of the vicious and superior one. No matter how hard she tried to act like a pure one, she can not really go back to the time when she genuinely had not counted herself as a competitor of Annabelle.
