In the afternoon, after finishing her work, Dzi Saifi Dzulfikar, a girl who lives in a simple house in front of the Baiturrahim mosque, immediately prepared herself to go to the mosque. She wears a light purple robe combined with a matching veil. Her hands are nimble wearing a pashmina veil. She had not finished pinning when suddenly someone knocked on the door of the house.
Knock knock knock
Dzi tries to make sure that the knock is really on her door. She tried to peek at the doorway and her eyes widened when she saw a man standing behind her. She adjusted her veil for a moment. she looked at the large mirror taped to the living room wall and made sure that her appearance was completely flawless.
"Excuse me."
Dzi immediately touched the door handle and unlocked the house. Slowly she opened the door and saw the young man who had his back suddenly turned to face her.
"Assalamualaikum, I-is there anything I can help you with?"
Somehow Dzi's voice stuttered. She felt her body tremble violently seeing the handsome man smiling in front of her. In a lifetime for the first time she felt her heart tremble when faced with a boy. The man in front of her smiled sweetly. So sweet that it makes Dzi barely control herself.
"Em. . . uh. . . i. . yes, "
Khalid stutters. He was at a loss for the words he was about to say. A swear word for Wildan who told him to deliver food, he doesn't know where to go. The word to answer the pretty girl's greeting in front of him also doesn't know where. Khalid was completely speechless. Such an attitude makes Dzi open her question.
Dzi and Khalid both stuttered. They smiled at each other and looked at each other, then looked down. no one can say. Between them they are busy controlling each other's feelings.
"Is there anything I can help?"
Dzi tries to control her feelings because she feels more responsible for controlling the situation. she will not allow herself to fall in her own house
"Here," Khalid handed her a white plastic which was immediately received by Dzi.
"O from Wildan?"
"Y . yes. from Wil. . . dan"
"Okay, thank him. Assalamualaikum"
Dzi leaves Khalid. Enter the house and close the door immediately. Khalid only let out a harsh sigh. He seemed very disappointed with what the new neighbor who had been able to enchant him had done.
Dzi looked trembling at the white plastic stretched out by the man in front of her. She did not have the vocabulary to reply to the words of the new man. She is like a stupid girl who cannot be grateful for the services given to her.
Dzi immediately closed the door and leaned against the door. She rearranged her raging feelings, nervous uncertainty at the sight of the new man who had come to her this afternoon.
"God, forgive me If I can't hide my nervousness in front of him." She muttered. She still didn't fully control herself. Many times she stroked her chest so that it could beat more normally.
"Sigh, what a shame. I must look very stupid in front of him. "She hit her head hard. After she pulled herself together, she immediately put down the plastic the new boy had given her. She was about to step into her room to pick up a mukena when her ears suddenly caught the sound of knocking on the door once again.
Knock knock knock
Dzi immediately discouraged leaving the living room. She opened the door again and hoped that the man would come back to see her and say that the item that was delivered to her was wrong. Ah, how nice it would be if it wasn't just him who was acting up.
Dzi immediately opened the door and once again her mouth fell open to see the young man who was still standing in front of her house.
"I am Sahal"
Khalid introduced himself under a pseudonym, then extended his hand to Dzi. Dzi ,who saw Khalid's white hands, could only shake her head. She did not accept male handshakes since she was in the second grade of elementary school. Her father forbade her to shake hands of the opposite sex, except for her father and brothers.
"Sorry,"
Dzi cupped her palms in front of her chest. Khalid, who saw Dzi's reaction nodded. He who is actually also nervous can only be stunned to see the girl in front of him did not reply to his introduction by saying her name. He was very disappointed with the attitude of the girl that made him fall in love at first sight.
"I'm a Dzi"
"Dzi?"
Dzi nodded then lowered her head. She did not want to be too happy to see a handsome face that is not a common consumption. Her father always said that her first sight was a gift, her next sight was sin. She should not enjoy the beauty of the face of the opposite sex for whatever reason.
"S-sorry, I have to go in."
Dzi immediately entered and closed the door violently making Khalid, who was still standing in front of her house, gasped. Dzi seemed not to care about the feelings of the man who was kind enough to deliver Wildan's food for her. What was most important to her was that she could break free from the man who somehow made her heart grow chaotic turmoil.
"If dad finds out, he will scold me. Ah, I would even get scolded by Dad for being rude. Closing the door, the guest is still in front of us. "
"But, will I be okay if I keep him on the terrace? I sure don't. I will be flowery and Allah forbid that "
Dzi still has a monologue, between blaming and justifying the action she just did. She immediately ran to the room to get mukena. She did not want to be late in praying. She knew her actions were utterly disrespectful, but she was sure that when she didn't cut off the conversation, Khalid would stay in front of her house and he would lose her prayer time.
Dzi immediately left the house after confirming that Sahal had left her house. I do not know when. She hopes that in the future she can meet Sahal again and get to know her better.
