Chapter 18 - The Secret

After having chocolate with his mom and dad Jonas was sitting on a bed watching calmly as Arnas and Nasha opened their bag for his gift.

"What is it what is it" Jonas yelled excitedly as he tried to peek in Arnas and Nasha's bag.

"No no, I don't want this " Jonas shouted as he took out the monster figurines and tossed them aside.

His whole room was filled with various figurines of monsters. His parent always brings it as a souvenir. He was always fascinated with them.

Sometimes playing with them for the whole day. But as time passed he got disinterested with them. He always reminds his parent for at least one time to not bring common monster figurines.

He would accept them if there were any cool or rare looking ones. But for other ones, he had no sympathy for those toys.

"These are for your friends," said Arnas picking up for them.

"For you, we've brought a game," said Nasha

"What game," asked Jonas as his interest piqued.

"Didn't you asked for family games, we have got it for you" Arnas with a grin.

"Ok, it's ok" As Jonas was overjoyed by it.

The couple had given some souvenir to Martha and Silvos too. Martha had got some rare herbs found in that region, while Arnas gave his old Combat shoes as he had got new ones for himself.

Don't underestimate Arnas giving him used shoes. Silvos didn't mind it at all, in fact, he was in joy by the fact that Arnas had not sold his old ones.

Silvos knew their real value. They were far better than his original combat ones.

Martha and Silvos returned to their work. Silvos knew, that his judgement would come. But he held no grudge for the Ramson family. He was morally upright and a father to his daughter.

He would not do something vile, that results in other's harm for no reason. It could harm his family in the process.

"Let's take a walk to the backyard," said Nasha as she held Jonas's hand.

"Ok"

It's been a while since they walked together.

The trio walked calmly through the garden toward their backyard.

Their backyard was separated from the main villa's surroundings. A door was placed in the rear of the garden leading to their backyard.

The backyard was left to be naturally grown. It is spread to around 100 metres. There were 3-4 bigger fully grown trees placed here and there are weeds and flower plants formed due to the natural dispersion of seeds from their villa garden.

The water from the pond was naturally drawn by the roots.

Sometimes Arnas too used his ice elemental affinity to attract water elan particles due to being the closest to the state of water.

He could use the water elan particles to water the plants or fill the swimming pool. But he cannot use it for the fight, it would be inefficient.

They reached the backyard. It was like a miniature jungle. Nasha used her vitality to make the path through the backyard.

She could be said to be a master in controlling many species of plants by injecting her vitality into them.

Jonas was always in awe of her as he watched her using her powers for growing trees and fruits at any she wanted.

"Mom you are super cool as always," Jonas said as he plucked the nearby flowers sniffing them.

"What do you want with the trees say it," Nasha said laughing toward Jonas.

"Can we..."

"Make a treehouse," said Jonas while expectations filling his eyes.

Nasha smiled toward him as strings of vitality left from her body filling in the backyard.

The backyard seemed quiet for a moment as changes started to take place.

The trees on this planet are generally much wider and tougher than the trees found on earth. The trees here were unusually wide compared to the trees found in the park or on the streets.

The reason being Nasha having a very strong vital core. Due to being in the vicinity, the plants here regularly absorb the wood vital particles. Making them have strong vitality and growth.

Many green tendrils left the ground or the plants gradually mixing in with the central tree branches. The process lasts for about 3 minutes as a massive lair was built in between the branches and leaves.

The lair was quite an unorthodox house. It appeared as if a beast lair existed on the tree.

A massive hole was dug out from the trunk as a ladder existed in there to take them to the main base of the treehouse.

"I will take some safety measures, so you can play here," said Nasha

As Jonas jumped from here to there while yelling.

"Ok let's go there," said Arnas as he took Jonas toward the tree hole.

The trio walked through the ladder to the tree base.

"Mom there are branches too," said Jonas as clung toward the branch as a koala.

"Ok we will play, but first let me hear your story," said Arnas.

Jonas took a sit on the fluffy floor.

"Why were you sad," Nasha asked as she took a seat beside him

"Grandpa said he would not come again," said Jonas said with a sad expression.

The duo thought that the old man who came to the park was in his last few days. So he bid the kids farewell saying he wouldn't come again.

The duo nodded as Arnas said, "Jonas he would go and never come again".

Jonas expression got sadder and said "I know, grandpa said the same thing"

"But I will find him," said Jonas as his expression got firm.

His parents had pity in their eyes. He was a little kid after all, who didn't know the concept of life and death.

"You cannot find him again," Nasha said as her tone was a bit harsh. She didn't want to break his heart, but he won't have to live in a delusion.

If they told him a lie supporting his fantasy. They would be guilt-ridden as time passes on.

"No mom you don't understand, he said I can find him on the lost continent," said Jonas putting it all in one go.

Arnas and Nasha both got confused so they asked "What is lost continent"

Jonas tone got excited as he told them about it. The people living there, their culture, the rich flora and fauna and...

Jonas "He said that everyone wants to become the king of the whole continent"

"There are many adventures like here too mom" Jonas finished as he looked at them with clear curiosity in his eyes.

'Was the old man mad due to his old age, or everything he told Jonas was the truth' said Arnas. his detective sense tingled.

"Why were you kids standing in the rain," Arnas asked in a calm voice.

"It was grandpa that got us wet" Jonas started as he told them the remaining story. After finishing his part of the story the duo asked again

"He summoned the clouds and thunder," said Nasha as Jonas nodded.

"He gave you a farewell gift," said Arnas as Jonas nodded again.

"And pain too" Nasha tone got sharp but Jonas just nodded again with a bitter face.

"Baby play for a bit, we will come after chatting," Nasha said with a smile on her face as Jonas nodded and ran out to explore the treehouse.

"Was he an expert from some other continent" Said Arnas.

"He had given them some sort of test," said Nasha.

"Is it for some kind of legacy?" said Arnas.

"We don't know anything, only time will," said Nasha.

Arnas and Nasha couldn't get anywhere after sharing their conclusion and question. So they shouted for Jonas who was happily enjoying the view.

"Wait, didn't there was a legend about weathers," Arnas said as he remembered it.

Nasha "The powerful communicate with nature "

"But the most powerful is themself nature"

Arnas got fascinated "They control the weather, what kind of place is lost continent"

Nasha was always enthusiastic about the new places. Her lips curved upward as she said with a heavy expectation.

"Someday in the future, we can adventure with Jonas too"

Arnas too was infected and replied to her wife with a heavy nod.

Jonas came running toward his parents. Crashing in their abdomen in the process.

Arnas told him in a serious expression "The things you experienced are secrets you shouldn't tell anyone"

Jonas said in his cute solemn expression "Okay mom, dad it's a secret"
