Damon couldn't understand why he lied to Nessa but one thing was for sure, he didn't want her to fall head over heels in love with Luke. Red was his playmate and he would not let her suffer from unrequited love, he told himself. Luke is a coward who isn't man enough to admit his feelings for Naomi.
But was that the only reason he did that? Why was guilt gnawing at his heart? He didn't do it out of jealousy, it was for her safety. But when did he start looking out for the safety of others?
"We need to talk," a stern voice said, blocking his path.
Damon looked up to discover Luke in front of him with an angry scowl. Well, that was expected.
"You look so furious, perhaps you go take out your aggression on someone else, I'm not your punching bag," Damon remarked and shoved past him but Luke grabbed his arm.
He eyed his grip yet Luke didn't budge at all, if anything he looked dead serious.
"Are you high on drugs or something?" Damon asked, unfazed by his furious mood.
