It turned out that Carlos had been pulling her leg, however, it still didn't erase the fact she almost pounced on the poor boy last night. Things become awkward between them and all Aimee wanted at that moment was to leave. But then, Carlos insisted she wash up and eat breakfast at his place.
"No, I can do that at my place," and I'll be a whole lot more comfortable, she added mentally.
"Why? Do you still think I'll do something to you?"
"No, you've done enough already, I don't know how to thank you. I don't like being indebted to anybody," Although she lied, there was an atom of truth in her words. She hated owning people. Humans only help good people and she was not a good person. No amount of goodwill she does in her life would erase the guilt in her heart.
"You're bearing my child, it's the least I can do," Carlos replied.
