The first elf had this ego inside him. months after months, years after years passed and he roamed around the whole world. But one day a child seemed so fascinating for the elf. So much that he wanted to engulf that kid. That kid had such eyes. Such cold eyes. He did not feel fear with the dead bodies lying in front of him. it was like the kid could kill everyone in front of it. the kid had no fears. He could lie with such a straight face. Such darkness inside the kid. No human around the kid could doubt the kid. Yet they were afraid of him. the elf stuck close with the kid. Saw the kid as he grew up. the elf had such curiosity. That kid and his unwavering pride. the pride that he wanted to crush under his feet. it was so fascinating for the elf. how could he not get involved with that kid? The kid was gaming as if he was gambling the lives of other people. So how it would be if he had the power to gamble others' lives?
He gave the kid an invitation to the game world. Gameworld? haha... to the void. Where the elves lived. A game was made. The kid was the sole player. He was gifted with the game. He was playing the game. he had his system made for him.
He leveled up. He was only leveling up. He leveled up to max.

The last words resounded in my mind as the elf vanished in the air.

He turned into nothingness. I felt my pride being crushed down. The only thing I had. What will be my identity now? Am I still a player? I found myself wondering in that void all alone. Did I not win this game?
