Zhou Yongliang started working on weekends two weeks ago. He decided to take the morning shift at the convenience store to add his savings. The night shift was barely enough to pay the rent and to buy his daily necessities, so he chose to work on weekends as well.
His body was exhausted because of the excessive work and the long journey between Haidian and Tongzhou, but he had no other choice. If he wanted to live in the city, then he had to work hard.
His body was tired, but his heart actually was more tired than his body. His heart was still stuffy because of his issue with Yang Liu, but he had to forget about it for a while because he had a work today.
His shift was with a girl named Xiao Mei. She was the same age as him, so he felt a bit comfortable when he was with the girl.
"Hey, Yongliang. You don't look well today," the young girl commented at the other boy.
