Many kept stoic expressions, not willing to offend Ian or any high ranking employee of the Reyes Group. From the very beginning it was clear that Ian and Camilla both had the approval of the highest ranking employees, but the others couldn't help but feel bad about their own bets not winning the position.
"We were told from the start that we had been selected out of a large pool of candidates." Ian said as his voice echoed across the hall with everyone remaining silent. "Being the CEO's assistant is not a popularity contest, if it were this company would be dead by now."
