The guards tried stopping her and one of them even tried holding her arm to prevent her from getting in but she hit him in the groin as she flashed her way inside. Koyala was sipping from his cup and was consumed in his thoughts. Maya's unexpected entry freaked him out, he spilled his drink on his clothes. "Maya what the heck? Don't you know how to knock or is that how I taught you," he said jokingly.
"Koy, they have taken them. We have to go now!"
Confused, "who has taken who Maya, You are freaking me out?"
"The Force, Sir. They have taken some humans captive. Sir, I think we should get them."
"Wait, what?! How? When?" Call out everyone. Do you know where they are taking them? Shit."
"Yes. My sources said they have been taken to a facility here on earth. Koy they've been here all along!"
Koyala was taken aback. He had never thought of that. Why didn't he see that coming? "But what would they be after on this planet with all these weirdly stupid creatures?" He was mad at himself for not thinking outside the box. Would they have been there for their two new associates? The Force wouldn't go through all that just for two useless creatures,no. Something else was going on. Something he had to figure out very fast.
There was a brief silence in the office with Koyala holding his chin while in deep thoughts. Out of nowhere, he just walked out towards the armory and addressed Maya as he was walking.
"Give me the locations."
"Sir, you can't possibly be thinking about going there all alone. That's insane," Maya protested. She knew her boss when it came to making rash decisions. She was the best in that but the boss was on a whole different level altogether.
"I don't have time for this, Maya. Give me the locations!" He said his temper rising by the minute.
"1.3061° S, 36.8627° E, somewhere in Nairobi.."
"I know. Make sure everything here remains perfectly perfect." He said shutting the door behind him as he teleported to the location. One of the soldiers that stood guard at the office door vanished with him too. Maya knew better when not to hold arguments with him, lest he did something they would both regret later. Maya was totally worried about him. She was sure there were a lot of enemies he had to fight and judging from the last encounter they had, she was sure they were stronger than they had been earlier.
Koyala teleported right outside a busy building. It had lots of activities going on in it with a lot of people going in and out. There were lots of containers aligned in a given sequential order. It seemed like an inland port where commodities and parcels were received then dispersed to some other location. He transformed himself into a human being, an old man while his guard disguised himself as a young boy. They got into the compound with the young boy holding the old grandpa's hand as if guiding him. At the gate they were frisked by two officers. They seemed normal. They then proceeded into the compound. Koyala pretended to be asking how to get his parcel from one of the people that were coming out of the huge building. The man explained to him that he had to proceed to the secretary's desk, then he would be directed to go to the registry's desk.
The moment they were almost setting foot on the door, they were surrounded with guns pointed at every part of their bodies. "Fuck, they knew we were coming, we fell right into their trap," Koyala cursed as he lifted his hands to surrender.
One huge man walked towards them, drew his gun from his waist, then shot both of them with a tranquilizer and they both passed out.
Denzel regained his consciousness to the final screams coming from his boss. He was being tortured and his face was all covered in green, the colour of their blood. He had transformed back to his original form. Denzel was tied to a post by chains. He tried using his powers to break loose but apparently the room was locked, and he was just useless. Koyala was tied such that his feet could barely touch the ground. Broken glasses were scattered right under his feet and his shoes taken off. He was helpless, too weak to lift himself up so he just let the broken glasses pierce through his soft feet. "This is very detrimental to his kind," Denzel thought. He was mad at himself for not being able to do anything. He had sworn an oath to always keep him safe, to die before letting danger get to him. And yet there he was, chained to a metal chick, just a stupid chair, and not able to get him to safety. He cursed himself.
"Sir. Sir, I'm so sorry about this. Damn!" Koyala didn't respond. He just opened his eyes then shut them again. Denzel shook the chains off his hands one more time with rage but still they wouldn't fall off. Disappointed, he just sat there waiting for the worst to happen, but he vowed to make sure that it got to him before it did to his boss. He remembered how Koyala had been looking after him ever since his parents were captured and killed by the Force. He was only a little boy then. Since then, he had loved him as his father.
Just then a guy wearing a torned and blood-stained overall walked in.
"Hey pretty, ready to talk now?"he said looking at Koyala. "Ooh, look who's awake now. Oh boy, you should have stayed in that dream man," he said then bursted out laughing as he turned to the sink where he had his cutleries and whatever things he used to extract information from their prisoners. He drew a pair of tongs then walked towards Koyala but noticing that he was too tired to talk or do anything, he moved to Denzel.
"Let's have some fun boy,"he said with a crooked smile forming in his face. "Now, you are going to tell me everything I need to know or else.." He paused, threw a jab on his face, then continued, "..I'm going to have to get it out myself. Deal?"
"You can hit me all you want but I'm never telling you.." and before he could complete the sentence, another blow came flying right on his chest.
"Shhhh, you talk too much." He went back to his working table and got out a syringe and added some contents in it then again went to where Denzel was strapped but before he could inject him with what was in the syringe, his phone rang and he rushed outside.
"You are one lucky bastard you know," Koyala said as he coughed.
