"I'm fine Ashley, what have you been up to?"
Ashley smiled "I was called in the army for a week, I just got back today.., by the way, your boyfriend, Zack asked me to check up on you regularly just to make sure you are fine"
Fortune blushed upon hearing Zack's name, he was such an altruistic person. She was pleased to have such a person in her life.
"oh you went to the army center?" Ashley nodded
"yes, just for a few days , I couldn't stay there for long because of school, you know I'm in my last year" Fortune nodded, hmm.
"so where is Asia, I haven't seen her around?" Ashley asked as he looked around
"oh, she's at Chris house, today is her birthday, she won't be coming tonight"
Ashley nodded "you must feel bored alone, have you eaten something?"
Fortune shook her head "no" she responded lazily
"ok then, let's go out for dinner, then I will bring you back later"
Fortune agreed, and went straight to her room, changed her clothes then went out with Ashley.
"Fortune just stop there,.... so you are already dating someone else? what kind of a person are you?" Brandon suddenly spoke upon seeing Fortune and Ashley who were about to walk into the restaurant.
Fortune and Ashley simultaneously looked back and saw Brandon
"oh so it's this guy again,.... Fortune why can't you make up your mind? the other day, you told me that other guy was your boyfriend, today you are with this one, why are you doing this? If this is the way you wish to punish me then you are only spoiling yourself.... Fortune look, I am a changed person now believe me. Our breakup made me realize how much you mean to me".
Fortune sighed and shook her head helplessly, Ashley stood beside her with his arms crossed, it's like he enjoyed listening to this guy's drama.
"Brandon, this is Ashley and his my boyfriend's old friend and his my friend as well. The one you claim I introduced you to as my boyfriend is indeed my boyfriend, his name is Zack".
Fortune explained although she didn't know why she was explaining.
"whatever, anyways I don't care, the bottom line here is that you broke up with me a few weeks ago and you are already dating someone else?" Brandon retorted as if making a valid point..
Fortune rolled her eyes "Brandon do you want me to start reminding you about the past? please just stop embarrassing yourself like this. some days back, you kept on saying I shouldn't treat you like a stranger, now that I give you few minutes of my time you think you can talk to me how you like and even say shit? For the fact that I don't say much, doesn't mean I don't have answers. Brandon I don't blame you for what you did, everyone has different perspectives, different views on how they see things, you couldn't control yourself and ended up cheating, I don't blame you, it happened, can't change it.. now that you know I am with someone else, respect that, if not, I will treat you like a stranger".
Fortune finished then stepped into the restaurant and Ashley followed behind her. He was impressed by this girl, she's very young yet mature at the same time, if it wasn't for Zack, he would have pursued her.
"Ashley I'm sorry you always have to see such drama" Ashley laughed out and waved his arm,
"no, no you don't have to be sorry, I don't mind and to be honest, it's quiet funny".
Fortune smiled and shook her head.. They ordered for some food as well as drinks and enjoyed their dinner.
In Terry's mansion....
"my love tomorrow is my birthday, I want to go out with Ariana, she has been asking me out for some time now" Terry shook his head
"no, you will have to go out with Ariana some other day, not tomorrow"
"but darling, I want.....
"I said no, simple" Terry interrupted her words giving Camilla no chance to talk.
"After lunch at 3pm tomorrow, we are going out, that's why I said no"
Camilla nodded and didn't want to say anything. Terry was so domineering, he just gave her a straight NO without hesitation...
In Chris house, Asia couldn't hold herself "honey this buffet is something that we need to have every weekend"
Asia was stuffing so much food in her mouth she felt so bloated, she couldn't even move.
Chris smiled "it's your birthday, enjoy yourself". Asia sighed
"I am so full I can't eat anymore" Chris smirked
"good, get up, let's watch TV, then later on, we can have some wine"
Asia stood up rubbing her bloated tummy and walked to the couch with Chris where they sat and started to watch a TV show.
"Ashley you are really funny, you know, I didn't know Zack was this dramatic during your days in the training center"
Ashley smiled "oh yes, you wouldn't really know, I mean everyone who trained with us in the center that year remembers him"
Ashley and fortune spoke as Ashley drove Fortune back to her apartment.
Camilla on the other side was in her room busy with her books while Terry was in his study.
The next morning, Fortune was awakened by a phone call, it was her mom.
she lazily looked at her phone and connected the call "mom, morning" she answered in a sleepy tone.
"baby are you still sleeping? this is past 9am. come on, get up"
Mrs Williams said in a helpless tone
"mom please just say what you want to tell me, I'm not getting up now"
Mrs Williams shook her head "ok fine, your father asked me to check if you needed anything, or if you needed some money".
Fortune rolled her body to the other side "mom trust me I'm fine, everything is fine with me, if I need anything, I will be sure to let you know, now can I sleep? I will call you later" Fortune wanted to sleep a bit more.... yesterday, she had a long chat with Ashley, as soon as he left, she took some wine for the first time untill she got drunk.
