Somya rushed towards the corridor, from which the girl's scream was coming.
There they saw three boys cornering a girl in the middle junction of girls and boys washroom.
It's an old corridor, so students rarely come here. From the looks, it doesn't seem like a friendly or romantic discussion going on there.
Even after living for so many years in the same world, Somya is still weak to such injustice, and poor people scream for help.
That's what she hates to hear or see because every time she gets trapped in such a situation, she has to fight with her heart for not stepping forward to help. No matter how much worse the state is, she can't just follow her instincts to help. Even if she doesn't care for her life, she still has her family who needs her. What if those baddies try taking revenge on her family? What will she do then? Just this stops her from going berserk.
But when she feels either too tired of living or can handle this trouble without any backlash, she steps up to help.
"Let's help her," Somya declared.
"No way, Somu! What can we do to help her," Dia got worried.
"You only have to go and call security for help. I will handle it here," Somya assured Dia taking her yellow scarf out from her bag.
"What are you going to do?" Dia asked. 'Worry' was written all over her face.
"Chill, babes! They won't be able to harm me. Go quickly! We don't have much time." Somya winked at her and tied the scarf on her face so that only her eyes will be visible.
"Let's go! See you at the main gates. After informing the security, you don't have to come here. I don't want them to know our identities. "She instructed her and started walking towards the girls' washroom.
Those three boys were still busy teasing that girl, and that girl was crying. Somya ignored them and kept walking towards the washroom. Then one of the boys said to her, "Hey, go somewhere else."
She pretended not to hear anything.
Another boy said by coming near her, "Didn't you hear us?"
She finally made eye contact with him and gave him her most innocent look
"Are you talking to me?"
"Who else then!?" he roared.
"Sorry, just now I didn't hear," she said and tried taking out something from her bag slowly.
"Hear now, GET LOST!!!" he shouted.
"Ahhh," Somya screamed, trying to look terrified and at the same time sprayed her black pepper and chili spray on those two boys.
"ahhhgrrrr," now it was their turn to scream. Those boys started rubbing their eyes desperately.
The third boy, who was holding the scared girl's hand, glared at her and started coming near her.
"You won't go out in ONE PIECE ." he roared.
Somya said, "No please....j..just now...I....was too terrified...that's why...." and together with saying, she moved towards him swiftly and kicked his groins.
He screamed, high enough to let birds leave this place if it has any. Somya winked at him. She quickly held the girl's arm and started running.
After running to a safe place. The girl expressed gratitude to her, "Thank you."
When this girl was screaming, Varun was present in the same corridor. He was talking on his phone with someone. After hearing someone yelling, he hung up on his phone and started to move towards the origin of this voice.
There, he saw three boys misbehaving with a girl. He was just about to step in to help, but then he saw the same girl from the principal's office doing something with her yellow scarf and giving instructions to her friend. Then her friend left towards the opposite side, and she went towards the washroom.
He somewhat had an idea of what she is trying to do, and he decided to wait and to help her if she gets into trouble.
But what he saw next wasn't what he expected. He saw the girl spraying something in the eyes of the two boys and kicking the groin of the third one.
"Such a hooligan!" he smirked and followed her to see what's next in her mind.
"Thank you," she said.
"If you are thankful, then don't let this happen again. You need to understand that nobody will help you every time. You need to step up for yourself, and to do that, you need to be strong. They will come to you again if I am not wrong. So be prepared for it." Somya spoke while patting her and then bid goodbye to her only then she removed her scarf and put it in her bag.
Varun heard her instructions and thought that everything is fine now, so he should head back now. But then he saw her yellow scarf falling from her bag to the ground, and she was carelessly walking without noticing it. He looked all around, and when he saw nobody was there to return that scarf to her, he decided to do it himself.
He picked up that scarf and said "Hey! " to her.
But she didn't hear or maybe ignored.
But he was a man who cherishes words as gold. You can't expect a whole sentence from him at the first meeting!
He tried calling her again, "Hey Miss Yellow Scarf!" Now, these were the most words he can say.
When Somya heard someone calling me 'Yellow Scarf,' her heart skipped a beat. 'Oh, mummy! Did one of those guys follow me? Run! Somya Run!! Run for your dear life!' and with that thought, she sprinted towards the main gate.
When Varun saw her running like this, he understood that she misunderstood him. He ran after her much faster than her, afterall he was the champion in sports in his college and just when she lost her balance by skipping on a wrong stair, he caught her IN HIS ARMS.
When Somya felt that she lost her balance, she thought, 'I am dead! Now will be the end of my little life. Goodbye world. May you all miss me to death.'
However, just at the moment, somebody caught her in his arms. When she looked up to see who is he, she got stunned.
