Daniel had spent the last week preparing and organising the venue in which Dominic will ask Kang Lei to marry him.
For Daniel it was one of the worst weeks of his life as Dominic's personal assistant, Dominic wanted everything to be prefect "nothing but the best!" Was the phrase repeated over and over again in conversations with Dominic.
"Chi Xu have you made sure the heating mats are working? double check no triple check everything. Please everyone tonights guest is very important". A nervous Daniel asked the designer checking his own list to make sure everything was perfect.
"Daniel don't worry everything is fine, but it would help if you would tell us who the guest is?" Chi Xu replied curious of this mystery guest that Daniel had kept secret from everyone.
"When the time is right your work will be recognised and awarded but for now to avoid gossiping mouths the clients identity can't be revealed, I hope you understand".
Chi Xu felt quite offended by Daniel's back hand comment, "do you mean to say I am a gossiping man Mr Daniel" Chi Xu voice was clearly irritated, though he was very thankful for the work.
"I dare not, but your work is based on the advertising of your work and who you have worked for, we can't possible allow News to be known before your clients wishes. has I have stated tonight will mostly definitely be known and document, once my client has seen through their business I will be more than happy to share this with you". Daniel explained politely.
"I understand my apologies" Chi Xu felt guilty, this was a big project for his small business and his curiosity had taken the better of him. Also It wasn't that Daniel thought ill of Chi Xu, in fact Dominic had personally found and chosen the man himself to help Daniel, Chi Xu wasn't a well known designer nor was he use to having such a huge client, he was shocked when Daniel came to his nearly bankrupt business offering them a huge sum of money, right now he's starting to think he's working for the underground mafia.
"You don't need to apologise but if and your team are all done I'll need everyone to leave the clients on the way"
"O-oh yes I'll gather everyone now… and Mr Daniel please let me know if the client likes the our work" Chi Xu smiled softly bowing his head taking his leave.
Dominic had called Daniel earlier requesting everyone leave before he arrived so he could check that everything was in order and finalise his plans.
An hour after Chi Xu and his team had left Dominic arrived, Daniel was taken aback when his boss came in looking happy and smiling as he talked on the phone, he was even more shocked when he got closer and could clearly smell mating pheromones on the man.
"Honey I never told Dr. Cheng to come and visit you, this is clearly my mothers doing.. bu-but how's your back?" Dominic laughed looking at his phone as Kang Lei just hung up on him.
"Is every thing ready?" he asked a stupefied Daniel coldly.
"Yes sir" Daniel replied feeling deflated, 'how can this man turn so quickly' Daniel thought.
"Okay go ahead and collect Kang Lei and BoJing I'll wait here" Dominic order.
"Yes sir" Daniel bowed his head taking his leave when he suddenly heard Dominic's voice.
"And Daniel well done"
Daniel stood wide eyed for a second he couldn't believe ice man just praised him, "thank you sir" he said trying to remain calm and collected.
At the Lanxian's family mansion Kang Lei sat nervously waiting with BoJing, "daddy we're we going?" BoJing asked looking at his fidgeting father.
"I don't know your father wouldn't tell me" he pouted but excited at what Dominic's planning.
Dominic had his assistant bring him and BoJing two suites, both suites were light pink and tailor made the brand was that of a special edition Chanel. Topped off with Christian Dior cream shoes and the most expensive watch Kang Lei has ever seen in his life it was a brand he had never seen or heard of before. In addition to that Dominic had also organise for them to have hairstylist and makeup artist come and help them get ready, again using businesses unknown in his circle.
Kang Lei looked beautiful his skin glowing from the weeks of pampering at the hands of Dominic, he had given up refusing Dominic's generosity as the man didn't seem to understand the words no coming from Kang Lei's mouth, in reality for Kang Lei he was finding Dominic's love uncomfortable he wasn't use to such treatment and was afraid of waking up and it all just being an amazing dream.
"Mistress, young Master Lanxian, please make your way to the car" Butler Jeffery came in interrupting Kang Lei's thoughts.
Kang Lei nervously took hold of BoJings hand and made their way to the waiting car.
"Daniel you know what Dominic's planning right, are you able to tell me?" Kang Lei asked shyly after sitting in the car for thirty minutes and trying to use the surrounding area to make a guess.
"Am sorry mistress but am not liberty to tell you, please understand"
"It's okay, that beast must have asked you not too" mumbled Kang Lei, pretending to be upset.
Daniel laughed to himself it was clear from Kang Lei's scent his Boss had a very active lately.
After driving for a while Daniel finally arrived at a quite and dark road, Kang Lei's heart begun to beat fast fear taking him over, this didn't look like what he had imagined, "Daniel why are we here?" he asked worried grabbing hold of BoJing. "Daddy don't worry, am sure father isn't going to hurt us, he promised". BoJing tried to reassure Kang Lei after seeing his tensed reaction.
"Mistress I promise sir has planned something amazing for you and young master please relax". Daniel had gotten out of the car opening the door for the father and son to exit.
After hesitating for a while Kang Lei finally decided to trust Dominic and cautiously got out of the car.
Has they took a few steps along a path, as if like magic the path lit up along the ground leading the way for Kang Lei and BoJing to walk, as they continued they came upon a small cottage like building beautifully decorated with pink and white roses with a flower arch in front the door, fairy lights inter-winded brightly shining making the scene more beautiful. Kang Lei stood momentarily admiring the view happiness filling his heart.
As he made his way into the cottage his mouth dropped it was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen, flowers was neatly decorated around the room, candles spread around the room the path still visible on the floor leading to the outside of the cottage, "father is amazing, don't you think daddy" BoJing beamed,
"He sure his". Kang Lei replied on the verge of crying he couldn't believe Dominic had done all this for them.
After thinking he had seen it all the second they stepped outside another shock hit them, they were at the beach following the path set out for them they came upon a white gazebo with a male violist with his eyes blindfolded playing the most enchanting melody known, the gazebo shun brightly in the nights darkness again decorated with the finest flowers and lights an in the middle stood a small table.
Kang Lei was in a trance taking in every detail, cementing each item into his memory he wanted to remember each and very moment.
"Do you like it?" Dominic came up behind him. Tears flowed down Kang Lei's eyes he was too overwhelmed, happiness, love all those emotions was taking over his thoughts and body.
"I love it, I really love it Dominic" he cried running to hold Dominic in his arms.
"Puff… you cry baby… I got a surprise for you both come" Dominic took both their hands bringing them into the gazebo and having them face the ocean. "Now close your eyes" Dominic said gently.
Kang Lei and BoJing excitedly close their eyes both smiling from ear to ear.
"Now open" said Dominic.
The second Kang Lei and BoJing opened their eyes they saw in candle light writing the words, WILL YOU MARRY ME?
Kang Lei froze he turned to find Dominic on one knee holding a small box with a pear shaped diamond ring, that glistened even though the night was dark and the low light available.
"Honey before I get your answer I need to ask BoJing first. BoJing I know I haven't been there for you all your life and to be honest am just a stranger who's come into you and your dads life. But I promise you that I'll always love and your dad till the day I die even if you grow to one day not loving me back I will still be their for you. I have loved your dad from the very first moment I saw his picture appear on my desk, I have never and will never love anyone as much as I love him, the exception being you and your siblings. I promise to always put you and your father first. So I ask you BoJing will you accept me as your second father?" Dominic sincerely declared as he presented BoJing with a necklace engraved with the Lanxian family emblem of a pear crest.
BoJing wrapped his arms around Dominic's neck "yes father I accept and no matter what I'll always love you too", for BoJing this meant a lot, this shwed that Dominic not only wanted Kang Lei but he BoJing was just as valued and loved, he couldn't ask for a better father than Dominic.
"Now My beloved, do you have an answer for me?" Dominic turned his attention to Kang Lei.
"What only BoBo gets sweet words?" He pouted.
"Puff… okay my anything my love wants.....Kang Lei words can't express how I feel for you, you have made me the happiest man in the world. There's no one in this world who could take your place, even if your marry me and run away with all my money, I'll happily be poor without nothing as it makes you happy because nothing is more important than you and the kids. Kang Lei will you do me the honour of making me officially change your name to Mrs Lanxian"
"Well am a man so it's Mr Lanxian am not a girl" scoffed Kang Lei, feeling shy.
"Honey your far too beautiful to be called a Mr and I take that as a yes" Dominic got up to put the ring on Kang Lei's finger.
"Yes, a million times yes, I love you too Dominic with all my heart".
