Chapter 46 - Chapter 45 - Nightmares

*Warning description of sexual abuse*

In a dark room, a small framed omega boy lays trembling in his bed, with the covers wrapped tightly over is entire body, he prays that the harrows that lurks in the surrounding darkness doesn't come visit him again tonight.

For weeks his he had not slept, and now the silence of the room was beginning to play a vicious game with his sense. He hated, this hour of night where silence became his enemy, it meant that no one was longer awake, no one cared of the vile monster that lurks outside his door.

As anxiously listened, he heard the dreaded sound of his door being lightly opened. At that moment, his body became frozen with fear, as he heard the soft footsteps of the night monster approaching nearer.

He grips his covers even more tightly around him, hoping that tonight by chance he could hide himself from the dreaded horror that's about to come.

"Little baby, daddy's here" spoke a deep male voice, the male then releases a strong dose of his alpha pheromones sending the little body on the bed into a paralytic shock. The boy had always found the man's scent disgusting, in fact, there has never been any pheromones that he's come across that didn't disgust him.

Before the boy knew it, the man had ripped the sheets from him, revealing his trembling and small frame. Even in the pitch of darkness, he could still see the chilling smile on the man's face, as though he thought it would be of comfort to him. The man climbed on top of his tiny frame, whilst unbuckling his pants and removing them.

The night monster was built in body and strong in strength, as he looked upon the small body beneath him, he licked his lips as he readied himself to devour his trembling meal. The boy, who was now curled up in the fetal position with his arms covering his face, was now so frightened he couldn't utter a sound, only dreading the pain that was to come.

In the dead of darkness the night monster, who had fully pined his heavy body onto his own, drew close to the boy's ear and whispered, "little baby, are you going to be a good boy again tonight?" He asked deviously before thrusting his full length into the little boy's body.

Kang Lei awoke in fright, his heart was pounding, and sweat breading along his forehead and his body was trembling. Without realising he had begun crying, again those nightmares had come back to hunt him.

Kang Lei gripped his knees and tried as hard as he could to suppress his voice, he didn't want to wake BoJing, who was right beside him.

He checked the time, and it was only 3 in the morning, and darkness was still present, but their small room was bright from the burning candle nearby. Kang Lei hated the darkness, but most of all he hated the silence. The two combined always triggered what a doctor had once explained to him as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Hence, he always kept a candle burning and a small window in his apartment always had to be open, so he could hear the street noise below.

He tried to clam himself, but he couldn't stop his tears from falling, his mind became filled with the memories of his past threatening to overpower him. One memory that kept eating away at his heart was of BoJing's birth. At the time, he had refused to hold or even look at his now precious child for the whole of five days. Even upon hearing BoJing's helpless caries, he refused to care for him and would just sit there curled up on the bed holding his knees and wept uncontrollably, rocking himself for comfort. If one saw him, they would look at him and though he were a madman. It wasn't Until the doctor realised he was suffering greatly and had diagnosed him with PTSD.

After overhearing the conversation of his attending nurses, openly discussing his condition and suggesting they take BoJing away. He felt panicked and returned to his senses, that same night he packed up himself and BoJing and departed from the hospital, leaving only an empty bed for when the nurses returned the following morning.

Though at the time he had no means to care for BoJing, being an under aged omega male father, who wasn't marked and completely homeless. He feared the worst would come to his innocent child if he were abandoned by him, but what he was most afraid of was BoJing ending up in the hands of that monster.

Without any money or a place to stay, he and BoJing ended up on the streets for three days and nights, staying hidden away in an alleyway, with Kang Lei feeding BoJing his breast milk.

It wasn't until they were discovered by a previously homeless man called Kai, who informed Kang Lei of what services that were available to people such as himself.

At first, Kang Lei was very resistant to enter another government facility, where he would have to deal with people whom pretend to be the saviour of the poor and the in need, whilst taking advange of them.

However, With his breast milk drying up from his own lack of food, he reluctantly decided to go to the shelter suggested by Kai. The people there were nice, but his stay would only be temporary, they had offered food and generously gathered some baby supplies for Kang Lei who still had BoJing wrapped in his hospital blanket. He was lucky that the weather had remained warm for the days they had lived outside.

Even with their support Kang Lei struggled for sometime with BoJing, especially when it came to his depression, he didn't know this at the time, but not only was he suffering from post-traumatic stress, but he also had postnatal depression, anxiety and severe depression. At one point whilst living at the shelter he had locked himself and BoJing in a room and refused to come out, no matter how much BoJing cried he didn't move, he just sat in the corner staring at him for the longest time, until BoJing had cried himself to sleep.

He couldn't recall what had pulled him out of his dark state, he always wondered if it was BoJing's desperate cries, or he had mentally decided to stop being ruled by is past and be a better father.

Whatever it was, though he may appear strong on the outside, his mind continues to battle his demons from long ago. And from what MiMi WuXain had said, looks like they had a hand to play in his most hunting memory.

Kang Lei suddenly stopped crying, rasing his head and wiping the tears from his face, taking a deep breath and then exhaling steadily, relaxing his body. He hated being the victim, used to look himself in the mirror each day and say he "Am not a victim am a survivor!", and he wasn't going to make those fucking bastards make him go back into his hole of hell that he did not long crawl out of, as a matter of fact, no one including Dominic Lanxian.
